Multicoin announces investment in DePIN project Grass, bullish on the AI real-time data retrieval market.

Multicoin Capital announced that its hedge fund and venture capital funds have invested in DePIN project Grass, positioning it as the "read layer for machine intelligence". Over the past 18 months, Grass has used crypto incentives to recruit users to share idle network bandwidth for querying and parsing the public internet, and has integrated into data processing workflows at several leading AI labs. Grass disclosed that more than 6 million contributors have received USD-denominated rewards backed by network revenue. The project generated $17 million in revenue in 2025, and matched that figure with $17 million in revenue in the first half of 2026. It is already profitable, and forecasts its training data business alone will hit $75 million in revenue in 2026. Multicoin noted that the market currently largely views Grass as a proxy network supplying pre-training data to AI labs, but has not fully factored in its potential for real-time retrieval during the inference phase. Grass plans to launch content APIs, search APIs, and web indexes to enable AI models and agents to access real-time web information; its system has already collected over 1 billion public videos.

Security Alert: PPV2 Vulnerability Attacks Still Ongoing, Users Should Immediately Revoke Relevant Authorizations

Yuga Labs' Vice President of Blockchain Quit issued a reminder that the Payment Processor V2 (PPV2) vulnerability attack remains ongoing. Even if users were not impacted in the September 25 incident, their assets could still be at risk as long as relevant authorizations have not been revoked, and he once again urged users to revoke authorizations immediately. Quit noted that roughly an hour ago, the address 0x3B13...3327 lost 0.15246 WETH in the subsequent block after accepting an offer and receiving funds. The attacker allocated 99% of the amount as a tip to Titan Builder, retaining only around 0.0015 ETH, making fund retrieval via front-running nearly impossible. Quit recommended that OpenSea consider checking whether users hold risky authorizations before they accept offers and requiring prior revocation; when transferring NFTs, the platform should also verify if the receiving address has relevant authorizations.

OpenAI officially opens ChatGPT quota sharing to third parties.

Beating AI Express (Dongcha) News: ChatGPT subscription quotas have long been accessible on third-party tools such as OpenCode and Pi. Now OpenAI has formalized this capability as "Sign in with ChatGPT", opening it up to more commercial products, with the first batch dominated by coding agents. The initial lineup includes Devin, Warp, Amp, Kilo Code, Conductor, Dactyl, Hermes Agent, Hyperagent, Vorflux, plus Notion and Vercel. Lovable is also set to join soon. Open-source tools in the program are OpenCode, OpenClaw, Pi, and T3. Users can select "Continue with ChatGPT" on these products and authorize access to directly use OpenAI models included in their ChatGPT subscription plans. No API key configuration is needed, nor separate top-ups for OpenAI APIs. Consumption is still deducted from the user’s existing ChatGPT Work and Codex quotas. OpenAI also allows setting individual weekly usage caps for each app. Third-party providers may still charge their own membership fees and cloud operation costs. OpenAI has formalized its previously fragmented third-party integrations into a unified quota-sharing mechanism. ChatGPT membership is shifting from a subscription for OpenAI’s own products to a set of quotas usable across AI tools.

Jev has gone viral for two weeks, and OpenAI has also launched an API dedicated solely to judgment.

Beating AI Flash News: OpenAI launched the Decisions API at its DevDay. Unlike models that generate long-form responses, this API is built specifically to handle quick decision-making tasks within applications. Developers first provide it with clear options, then input text or images. Powered by GPT-6 Luna, it delivers judgments in hundreds of milliseconds. Use cases include routing messages to sales or customer service, or letting an agent select the next tool to call. While general large language models could handle such tasks before, they typically required generating a text output that the program would then parse. The Decisions API instead restricts Luna to a set of candidate answers, targeting faster execution for these high-frequency small decisions. This is reminiscent of the recently viral Jev. TypeSafe also shifts AI’s function from "generating text" to "making direct choices", though the two are not identical: Jev is a purpose-trained decision model, while OpenAI’s current offering is a restricted decision feature built on Luna, with extra support for image input. The Decisions API is currently in limited preview, and OpenAI plans to expand its access in the coming days.

Multicoin noted that the market currently primarily views Grass as a proxy network providing pre-training data to AI labs, but has not yet fully priced in its potential for real-time retrieval during the inference phase.
