On the news front, Multicoin Capital announced that its hedge fund and venture capital fund have invested in DePIN project Grass, positioning it as the "read layer for machine intelligence". Over the past 18 months, Grass has used crypto incentives to recruit users to share idle network bandwidth for querying and resolving public internet data, and has already been integrated into the data processing workflows of some leading AI labs. Multicoin noted that the market currently primarily views Grass as a proxy network providing pre-training data to AI labs, but has not yet fully priced in its potential for real-time retrieval during the inference phase.
