Cursor is now competing with Lovable for market share: AI-generated applications, with full support covering databases, authentication, and deployment.

Breaking news from Beating AI Insight: Cursor has launched Live Apps, a feature that lets users build fully functional web apps simply by describing their needs. Its cloud-based Agent automatically provisions a Postgres database, sets up Cursor SSO-based authentication, and prepares a hosting environment. Once the app is built, users can preview it, select a domain name, pass security checks, confirm deployment, and obtain a shareable online link. Official use cases cited by Cursor include event registration, desk booking, sales dashboards, new employee training, and engineering service portals. Teams can share the apps with specific members or the entire organization, with visitors logging in via Cursor accounts. Before deployment, the system scans code for security issues such as API keys and exposed credentials. Team admins can view all apps, set security rules, and take down published apps at any time. Lovable itself supports generating complete apps with databases, user registration, and hosting via natural language. Cursor has integrated this capability into its existing programming Agent, enabling not only building apps from scratch but also direct deployment of existing code repositories from Cursor Origin and GitHub. For teams already developing projects in Cursor, they can now complete both development and deployment within the same toolset. Currently, Live Apps only supports Cloud Agents; local Agents are not yet supported.

US stock sell-off drives funds to shift to US Treasuries, with traders betting on further declines in yields.

Ahead of the release of the U.S. October jobs report on Friday, bond traders have bet the U.S. Treasury market will rise further, while expectations for the Federal Reserve to continue raising interest rates have continued to cool. Global stock markets sold off after the U.S. midterm elections, driving investors to shift to U.S. Treasuries for safe-haven flows this week. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield fell to its lowest level since early September on Thursday. As stock market sell-offs intensified, the 10-year yield stood at 4.82% on Friday. Recent gains in the bond market have boosted traders’ confidence that yields will decline further. One options market trade bets the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield could drop to 4.7% by the end of next week; another trade set to expire on November 20 bets the yield will fall to around 4.35%. Gennadiy Goldberg, head of U.S. rates strategy at TD Securities, said the data due Friday is expected to come in slightly soft, but the market remains focused on economic fundamentals. He noted that the U.S. economy remains quite strong, with the labor market showing a pattern of "low hiring, low layoffs", so the market has sharply scaled back interest rate hike expectations over the past few weeks.

Central Bank of Nigeria issues regulatory rules for non-securities virtual assets, requiring foreign currency stablecoins to be issued by locally licensed entities.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released the *Regulations on the Operation of Non-Securities Virtual Assets in Nigeria*, establishing a licensing framework for activities including issuance, exchange, custody, and payment of stablecoins, deposit currency tokens, and related virtual asset service providers (VASPs). Securities-type virtual assets remain under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria (SEC). The regulations categorize stablecoins into naira stablecoins and foreign currency stablecoins. Foreign currency stablecoins must be issued by entities registered in Nigeria holding the corresponding issuance license, and can only be provided to local users upon CBN approval—foreign licenses are not acceptable. The minimum paid-in capital for issuers of the two categories is 10 billion naira and 15 billion naira respectively, equivalent to approximately $7.41 million and $11.12 million; other service providers require 1 billion naira, around $740,000. Stablecoins must be fully reserved at a 1:1 ratio, plus an additional 2% over-collateralization. Holders can redeem at face value within the next working day. Issuers are prohibited from paying interest or returns to holders. Algorithmic stablecoins and fiat stablecoins primarily backed by crypto assets are banned. Existing operators must apply for licenses within 180 days of the regulations taking effect, and register with the CBN within 30 days. During the transition period, they can only maintain their current business scale, a rule also applicable to P2P trading platforms.
