Bybit’s CEO: Ready to assist Bitget in any way possible at any time.

Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou posted on social media that the Bybit team is ready to provide assistance in any way possible for the recent Bitget hack incident. When Bybit was targeted by a hacker attack, Bitget extended its support to the platform. Bybit is updating its LazarusBounty bounty website to help Bitget track and determine the flow of stolen funds. BlockBeats previously reported that on February 21, 2025, Bybit suffered what was then the largest hack in cryptocurrency history, with approximately $1.46 billion to $1.5 billion worth of Ethereum stolen, an attack later attributed to North Korea’s Lazarus Group. Following the breach, Bitget quickly transferred 40,000 ETH to Bybit (valued at roughly $105 million to $106 million at the time), with the funds sourced from Bitget’s own reserves, not user assets. The support came in the form of an interest-free, uncollateralized, open-ended loan, intended to help Bybit cope with withdrawal runs and replenish liquidity.

KelpDAO sues LayerZero and its co-founders over the rsETH cross-chain bridge vulnerability.

KelpDAO has issued a statement announcing that Kelp is suing LayerZero and its co-founder Bryan Pellegrino over the rsETH LayerZero cross-chain bridge vulnerability incident earlier this year. The lawsuit alleges the vulnerability originated from LayerZero’s own technical flaws and a breach of its security infrastructure—including LayerZero’s failure to disclose inherent weaknesses and risks in its technology, and its inability to stop attackers from compromising its security infrastructure to exploit the flaw. Over the past several months, LayerZero and Pellegrino publicly blamed Kelp for the incident, but Kelp claims LayerZero had previously reviewed and approved the deployment and configuration of its LayerZero technology in writing. Kelp further stated that following the vulnerability incident, it has taken steps to protect user assets, including migrating the rsETH cross-chain bridge to a more secure cross-chain security standard. The lawsuit seeks to hold LayerZero and Bryan Pellegrino liable for the related losses.

Goldman Sachs says the AI sector remains attractive, with a massive $800 billion investment underpinning Asia's hardware supply chain.

Insight Beating AI News Brief: Goldman Sachs Asia Pacific Equity Strategist Timothy Moe said AI-related stocks remain attractive despite rising government bond yields. “We are firmly in the ‘higher for longer’ camp,” he stated. He noted that hyperscale cloud computing firms are projected to invest roughly $800 billion this year, with that figure potentially reaching $1.2 trillion by 2027 – a key indicator of demand for Asia’s AI hardware supply chain. Moe added that the “extremely low” valuations in Asian markets also offer extra support for related stocks, as the region’s overall stock market currently trades at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of around 10, sitting at the lower end of its historical valuation range. He further noted that corporate earnings growth will act as a buffer against the high interest rate environment. For the rest of this year, Moe expects markets to stay “somewhat choppy” amid the upcoming U.S. midterm elections, with high energy prices and geopolitical risks amplifying market pressure. However, after this phase, he believes markets could rally by year-end, driven by corporate earnings growth and valuation recovery. (Jin10)
