IBM’s Q3 revenue rose 5% to $17.1 billion, and the company raised its full-year cash flow guidance.

IBM’s third quarter of fiscal 2026 generated $17.1 billion in revenue, up around 5% year-over-year, with adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.95—both metrics surpassed analyst forecasts. The company raised its full-year software revenue growth guidance to roughly 7-8%, and increased its full-year free cash flow growth target to over $10 billion. Software and mainframe deals that were delayed earlier as clients redirected spending to data center infrastructure have now started to be signed, alleviating market worries that IBM’s growth would be hit by AI. IBM’s cumulative free cash flow for the first nine months of the fiscal year reached $8 billion, a record high for the period, leading the company to revise up its full-year software growth and free cash flow outlook. However, IBM’s stock has not been boosted by the better-than-expected earnings; it dropped 4.95% in after-hours trading, currently trading at $239.02.
