Lightning Labs CTO Olaoluwa Osuntokun published a post stating that due to the impact of the CVE-2026-111943 vulnerability, he strongly recommends all users of lnd, btcd, tapd, and litd either update their binary files or rebuild the software using Go 1.27.3. Glassnode released its weekly market report, stating that Bitcoin is constrained within a "trading range" of $80,000 to $87,000. Daily closes once rose above roughly $87,500, and recent ETF inflows paired with expanding trading volume show demand is absorbing supply at the upper end of the range. If Bitcoin breaks below $80,000, both ETF holders and average treasury investors will enter losses, potentially dragging the price down toward the True Market Mean. Below the range, buyers have re-accumulated positions near $80,000 based on ETF and Treasury cost bases (though at a smaller scale than the peak). Above the range, the cost basis for buyers who entered positions 6 to 12 months ago is around $86,700, paired with order book sell walls and liquidation clusters at roughly $85,000 and $87,000. A breakout from this range could accelerate, but will encounter selling pressure. Glassnode noted that investors should focus on upcoming key catalysts, including the Federal Reserve’s October 28 interest rate decision, rising oil prices and yields, and a rebound in inflation expectations. Separately, MSCI will publish its index adjustment list on November 11 (effective November 30), with potential removals of stocks such as Strategy, which could impact related equities and Bitcoin buying demand.

According to three people familiar with the matter, Anthropic plans to publicly file its S-1 investor prospectus as early as this Friday. The company confidentially submitted a draft to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in June. Per SEC regulations, companies that file confidentially must disclose relevant materials to the public at least 15 calendar days before the launch of their formal investor roadshow. The public filing will clear key procedural hurdles for a potential November initial public offering (IPO), though the final timing remains dependent on factors such as market conditions. Earlier reports noted some investors are targeting a $1.5 trillion valuation for Anthropic’s upcoming IPO, a 25% decrease from the earlier $2 trillion projection. Separately, data from trading platform Entropy shows Anthropic’s over-the-counter (OTC) contract market capitalization stands at $1.957 trillion.

Dragonfly Managing Partner Haseeb Qureshi has warned that the global cybersecurity landscape is facing a hacker wave comparable to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the crypto industry being the first to experience this trend. He argues that because on-chain attacks are the most straightforward way for hackers to generate direct profits, security breaches in crypto protocols can serve as an early warning sign of broader internet security risks. While the number of hacker attacks targeting the crypto sector has surged sharply, the annualized total value of stolen funds remains roughly on par with 2025 levels, indicating a decline in the average loss per attack. Qureshi pointed out that attackers are focusing on small DeFi protocols with weak security safeguards and inadequate maintenance, whereas large crypto protocols have begun leveraging AI tools to bolster their defenses. He predicts that this large-scale attack trend will eventually spread to the traditional internet industry.
