Shareholders of crypto treasury firms have incurred cumulative losses of roughly $50 billion, as investors intensify their scrutiny of executive compensation and related-party transactions.
According to a Bloomberg report, as shares of digital asset treasury companies remain sluggish, with shareholders having lost roughly $50 billion in total, retail and institutional investors are stepping up scrutiny of employee compensation, equity incentives, and related-party transactions at these firms. Artemis data shows that the fully diluted market capitalization of listed treasury companies investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum is currently around $90 billion, down roughly 40% from its peak. Solana-focused treasury firm SkyAI has seen its share price drop nearly 90% since completing its transition financing in August 2025. Forward Industries is urging shareholders to vote against its equity incentive plan, which would reserve 7.2% of the company’s shares for 30 employees, worth approximately $4 million at current prices. Forward also questioned SkyAI over consulting fees and warrant issuances paid to companies controlled by the firm’s chief investment officer’s relatives. SkyAI responded that the arrangements were reviewed by the board of directors and publicly disclosed. Bitcoin-focused treasury firm Metaplanet’s share price has fallen 84% from its June 2025 high. Amid investor criticism over executive incentives and equity dilution, the company scrapped some warrant arrangements and will hire an independent external expert to redesign its compensation plan. Nakamoto, led by David Bailey, has also seen its share price drop 99% from last year’s peak. Its use of stock to acquire two other firms led by Bailey has been questioned by some market participants as a potential conflict of interest.

NEAR continues its rally, breaking above $3.5, with its 24-hour price surge expanding to 30.9%
According to HTX market data, NEAR has continued its rally to break through $3.5, currently trading at $3.51, with its 24-hour gain expanding to 30.9%. BlockBeats previously reported that NEAR is repositioning itself as an underlying infrastructure for multi-chain transactions and AI agents: users do not need to understand the complex structure of blockchain, as wallets and agents can automatically complete cross-chain operations, swaps, and payments. NEAR’s investment logic is shifting from a high-performance Layer 1 to chain abstraction, cross-chain settlement, and AI agent infrastructure, aiming to gain larger growth space from the multi-chain ecosystem.

Bonk Guy again calls for buying USELESS: The number of token holders and perpetual contract open interest has hit new highs, potentially setting the token up for a strong rally.
Prominent trader Bonk Guy stated in a post that meme coin USELESS, which has a market capitalization of roughly $270 million, has surpassed all other meme coins on Coinbase in trading volume, with the only exception being DOGE. For comparison, DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, and TRUMP have respective market caps of approximately $13 billion, $3.16 billion, $1.54 billion, and $556 million. USELESS’s trading volume on Coinbase has long been higher than that of meme coins including SHIB, PEPE, and TRUMP. Meanwhile, its number of token holding addresses and open interest in Hyperliquid perpetual contracts have both hit all-time highs; spot and perpetual contract trading volumes remain elevated, market attention on the coin is sustained, and it has been listed on leading crypto exchanges. He believes that USELESS is forming the liquidity and adoption traits required for a major meme coin expansion, and a strong rally to catch up with DOGE’s valuation is not out of the question, though this assessment is his personal view.
