CZ Participates in BNC Renaming Proposal Voting, Supports 'BNB Standard'

Binance founder CZ said he participated in the renaming poll for BNB Treasury Company (BNC) as a community member. After weighing various candidate names, he found his choice aligned with the voting results of other community members. CZ noted that "BNB Treasure Company" abbreviates to BTC, which could cause confusion; "Strategy" evokes associations with MSTR; the term "Reserve" is overly conservative. By contrast, he favored "BNB Standard", describing it as more impactful.

Robinhood upgrades dividend entitlements for stock tokens, with automatic crediting on ex-dividend dates.

Johann Kerbrat, general manager of Robinhood’s International and Crypto Business, stated that Robinhood has upgraded the dividend entitlement processing mechanism for stock tokens. The relevant entitlements will now be automatically credited on the ex-dividend date, rather than waiting until the dividend payment date weeks later. This allows holders to access economic benefits closer to those of the underlying stock faster, reduces dividend dilution after the ex-dividend date, and makes token pricing more closely aligned. The feature currently covers most stock tokens, and will be expanded to more products in the future. Robinhood also emphasized that stock tokens are tokenized debt securities, not offered to U.S. persons or in the United States, and are restricted in jurisdictions including Canada, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Beating AI News Flash: Zhipu AI has launched GLM-5.3-FlashX, a high-speed iteration of GLM-5.3-Flash, with a maximum output speed of 200 tokens per second. The developer did not release new capability benchmarks or architectural changes for this update, which focuses solely on further boosting inference speed. The launch comes right on the heels of yesterday’s inference system optimization. Zhipu recently disclosed that an Infra Agent powered by GLM-5.3 was involved in optimizing the Flash series’ inference infrastructure. In less than two weeks, end-to-end throughput rose to roughly three times its initial level, with the entire service running on over 100,000 domestically produced AI chips.

Zcash plans to launch its NU7 mainnet upgrade on November 5, reducing the block time to 25 seconds.

The Zcash development team plans to launch the NU7 mainnet upgrade on November 5, with relevant organizations and engineering teams having aligned on the upgrade details and estimated timeline. Developer Sean Bowe said NU7 will activate on the testnet on October 6, and the team will finalize the mainnet upgrade and its activation block height on October 20 after evaluating testnet performance. NU7 will reduce Zcash’s target block time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, disable V4 transactions, and integrate the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM). The selected NSM configuration will retain ZEC’s existing halving schedule, with supply previously removed from circulation set to re-enter starting February 2031. Bowe noted that NU7 will not introduce new transaction formats, so its impact on wallets is expected to be limited, though full nodes, indexers, and block explorers may require adjustments. In prior voting, 99.9% of ZEC’s weighted votes backed the block time reduction, while 98.9% supported retaining the halving mechanism.
