Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis suffered an external attack, leading to unauthorized access to some clients’ names, email addresses, and other data.

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis has issued a security incident notification, revealing that external attackers used agentic techniques this month to gain unauthorized access to its systems and internal tools. The team is currently conducting a full investigation into the unauthorized activities, patching vulnerabilities, and bolstering system security. According to Chainalysis, based on the evidence collected so far, there are no signs of unauthorized access to investigation materials (including charts, notes, case information), transaction or query results, plaintext passwords, multi-factor authentication (MFA) keys, or user session tokens. However, some non-sensitive customer data has been accessed, including platform user IDs, names, email addresses, and organizational role information, affecting relevant customers and their organizational members. Chainalysis is verifying the exact affected records and will release further details later. The firm also stressed that this security incident is unrelated to the recent Binance crypto asset theft.

OP surges over 23% amid market downturn, market cap hits $524 million.

According to HTX market data, OP rose more than 23% against the broader market, currently trading at $0.1211, with its market capitalization climbing to $524 million, hitting a near one-week high. On the news front, the Optimism Foundation submitted a governance proposal on October 29, proposing to return a portion of sequencer and priority fees to partners that drive key commercial activity on OP Mainnet in ETH. The rebate cap will not exceed the fees contributed by these partners, and OP tokens will not be used to avoid adding sell pressure. The remaining revenue will still support the existing Superchain buyback program. Additionally, Uniswap’s Unichain mainnet migration to the OP Enterprise window (its testnet was completed on October 13, with the mainnet originally scheduled for October 29) has Optimism taking over production operations and maintenance, further strengthening the Superchain ecosystem and its revenue contributions.

Claude Max 20x has been renamed to Ultra, with the 5-hour limit removed, though its weekly usage quota remains 10 times that of the Pro tier.

Beating AI News Flash: Anthropic adjusts Claude subscription plans. The $100/month Max 5x tier is renamed to Max, while the $200/month Max 20x tier is rebranded as Ultra, with prices remaining unchanged. The Ultra tier also eliminates its previous 5-hour short-term usage limit. Previously, users could be forced to wait hours to resume Claude access even if their weekly quota was unspent, due to excessive calls within a short window. Now, users can use the service in concentrated sessions without this restriction. The new policy is rolling out in batches to most existing Ultra subscribers. New accounts still have the 5-hour limit temporarily; they must undergo automatic system verification to prevent fraud and abuse, after which the limit will be lifted automatically, and users will receive an email alert. Notably, the total weekly quota has not increased. The original "20x" designation referred to the 5-hour quota being 20 times that of the Pro tier, not the weekly allowance. The Ultra tier still only offers 10 times the Pro tier’s weekly quota, and the Fable model has a separate weekly limit.
