ENSv2 officially launches on Ethereum mainnet

ENSv2 has officially launched on the Ethereum mainnet. The new version introduces a hierarchical registry and a more granular permission model, enabling individual domains to operate as independent on-chain registries. Communities and institutions can customize subdomain issuance rules and manage authorization via partitions, while domain resolution methods have been updated to support record link sharing. Supporting frontends include a new ENS App for general users and an ENS Explorer for developers. ENS announced that its ecosystem currently supports over 36 million domains, spanning more than 600 applications. The official added that existing .eth domains will continue to function normally with no requirement for re-registration, and users can voluntarily upgrade to ENSv2 via the ENS App starting today.

CFTC Chair Michael Selig stated last week at an agricultural commodities futures conference held in Kansas that the plan to increase the report’s release frequency stems from demands from the agricultural community.
