Bonk Guy: Dismal market sentiment may breed opportunities, and on-chain market conditions are expected to rebound.

Renowned crypto trader Bonk Guy posted that while the broader crypto community widely perceives on-chain trading conditions to have hit historic lows, roughly 6 new tokens have reached a market cap of $100 million to over $300 million in the past four months, and dozens of new tokens have seen their fully diluted valuations (FDV) exceed $10 million. Notably, tokens including PONS, ANSEM, CASHCAT, AI, and STONK have all hit an FDV of at least $300 million. Despite a deterioration in market structure, on-chain trading still sees tokens posting sharp rallies from time to time. Compared to the downturns before the launch of Robinhood Chain, and the period after last year’s TRUMP token launch and before BonkFun’s initial rise, the current market is nowhere near its worst levels in history. While the current market environment is not as strong as the broad-based rally seen a few months ago, this does not mean on-chain trading opportunities have vanished. With market sentiment dominated by pessimism, he predicts the market may rebound soon, with a recovery pace faster than most expect. He advises focusing on tokens that stood out in the previous cycle and carry high conviction, and considering gradual accumulation during pullbacks. He added that historical experience shows some tokens could not only return to their previous highs in the next rally, but also surge further, and the biggest market opportunities often emerge before mainstream sentiment shifts.
