Decentralized exchange protocol Balancer announced that during an inventory of DAO assets, it unexpectedly discovered over $500,000 in assets and unclaimed rewards left in the protocol by external users and institutions, including entities such as Ethena and Gauntlet. Some liquidity assets on Balancer v3 are recorded internally via the Vault, so they cannot be properly displayed on block explorers or asset management tools like DeBank; additionally, some users have withdrawn their v2 liquidity but still hold unclaimed rewards. Balancer noted that it has notified relevant asset owners, and some institutions have already begun withdrawing funds.
