According to Caixin, just four days after the UK High Court of Justice ruled that the property rights dispute over more than 60,000 bitcoins in the Qian Zhimin case is subject to Chinese law, around 16,000 Chinese victims participating in the UK asset recovery process have been granted the chance to challenge the ruling further. The UK High Court held a fresh hearing, with the judge approving the Chinese victims’ appeal against the October 12 ruling on applicable law. Lawyers from all parties also discussed issues including litigation costs related to the earlier applicable law dispute, whether the approximately 16,000 individual claimants will continue to pursue their claims, and how to opt out of the proceedings.

NVIDIA launches OpenShell reference architecture to provide security protection for enterprise-grade AI agents.

NVIDIA has launched the OpenShell reference architecture, integrating the Vera Rubin infrastructure, Vera central processing unit (CPU), BlueField-4 data processing unit (DPU), and OpenShell secure runtime software, to enable enterprises to build, run, and manage AI agents at scale, while monitoring their behaviors and applying security constraints. The architecture leverages the NVIDIA Sentry security framework running on BlueField-4 to continuously monitor AI agent behaviors and enforce security policies at the hardware level. When an AI agent attempts to breach software-defined boundaries, the system can isolate and terminate it in milliseconds. NVIDIA stated that the Vera Rubin NVL72 system delivers 30 times the throughput per megawatt for AI agent workloads compared to previous solutions, while NVIDIA Sentry can boost agent capacity by up to 20%. The architecture supports enterprise environments including Linux, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Windows, and is scalable to edge devices. Companies including Microsoft, Google Cloud, Dell Technologies, Cisco, OpenAI, and Anthropic are participating in related partnerships.

U.S. Democrats may launch a new round of investigations targeting Elon Musk, covering issues including government fund utilization and potential conflicts of interest.

According to POLITICO, U.S. congressional Democrats are developing plans for a potential new round of oversight investigations, with Elon Musk and his companies as key targets. If Democrats regain control of the House of Representatives after the November midterm elections, SpaceX’s government contracts, federal subsidies awarded to Tesla, and Musk’s actions during his tenure leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will likely face congressional probes. The report notes that multiple senior Democratic lawmakers and congressional aides are discussing investigative actions that various committees could take, covering issues including government fund usage, potential conflicts of interest, sensitive data access permissions, and SpaceX’s provision of military satellite communications services to Ukraine. Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, stated that Democrats have numerous questions about Musk’s activities during his time at DOGE and plan to launch investigations into the matter. A spokesperson for Musk did not respond to POLITICO’s multiple requests for comment. At present, the relevant investigations remain largely in the planning and discussion stages, and whether they can formally advance depends on the congressional power dynamic after the midterm elections.

Jensen Huang: Future telecom base stations are expected to evolve into distributed AI networks

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated at the GTC conference held in Berlin that all telecom operators will provide AI computing power in the future, and telecom base stations are expected to evolve into distributed AI networks. He compared the AI economy to a five-layer cake consisting of energy, computing power, AI factories, models, and applications. During his presentation, Huang pointed out that only NVIDIA’s logo appears on the computing power layer. Other layers include energy enterprises such as Siemens Energy and Schneider Electric, AI factory builders Nscale and Firebird, as well as European AI model firm Mistral, legal AI company Legora, and translation tool DeepL, among others. Huang also noted that constructing a 1-gigawatt data center currently costs approximately $50 billion, covering expenses including land, power, construction, computing equipment, storage, and cooling. Duan Yongping says he will continue buying Pop Mart.

A netizen asked Duan Yongping questions about his investment in Pop Mart, to which Duan replied: "I should buy some more, but won’t exceed 10% of the company’s shares—otherwise the company would have issues, haha. At most, I held around 10% of NetEase’s shares. Now it makes me look like a Pop Mart agent. I don’t want to answer such questions anymore; I’ve already shared all my views, and you’ll see if I’m right in a few years."
