On-chain detective ZachXBT tweeted that the recent Binance attack was likely perpetrated by the North Korean hacking group Lazarus Group (DPRK).

Bonk Guy posted on X that following the Binance hack, he does not believe the crypto space has escaped danger. He noted that prior large-scale CEX thefts had led Bitcoin to plunge 21% within a week. Bonk Guy added that the current incident evokes memories of the 10.11 event, when everyone expected the market to bottom out immediately after such a major sell-off, but instead the industry entered one of the worst crypto winters by scale and duration in a long period. He stated, “It’s hard to imagine things getting worse, and I also don’t think this will be as bad as 10/10.” However, he still advised users to exercise caution when bottom fishing and guard against a secondary market dip.

He emphasized that no system is absolutely secure, and a major security breach at any exchange could damage the trust of the entire industry. Star called on major crypto exchanges to strengthen cooperation and jointly establish stricter industry security standards and coordinated response mechanisms, including adding verification and security delays for large withdrawals to unknown addresses and smart contract authorization transactions, and implementing critical security restrictions at the cryptographic signature layer. Additionally, the industry should establish real-time security incident notification, joint suspicious fund monitoring, and rapid response mechanisms, and promote collaborative research in areas such as post-quantum cryptography and AI security threat defense. He stressed that no single company can safeguard the future of the crypto industry alone.

USDT0 announced via tweet that it has restored USDT transfers between Ethereum and TRON. The platform’s own infrastructure remains fully secure and uncompromised. Earlier, it had temporarily suspended these cross-chain transfers as a preventive measure in response to the Binance attack incident, to prevent stolen funds from flowing.

From Beating AI Express: AI companion app Replika founder Eugenia Kuyda’s new company Wabi has closed a $55 million Series A funding round, valuing the startup at $1.25 billion. IVP led the round, with participation from a16z, Forerunner, Amazon Alexa Fund, and other investors. Adding to the $20 million funding raised last November, Wabi has secured a total of $75 million in capital in less than a year. Last year, Wabi was positioned as an "App version of YouTube" that allowed ordinary users to generate mini-programs with a single sentence, then share them for others to use and modify. At the end of September this year, the startup pivoted to focus on personal AI assistants, with features including booking services, scheduling, handling daily tasks in group chats, and on-demand generation of checklists, schedules, and mini-games. Kuyda previously told TechCrunch that the team found users appreciate personalized software but are not always willing to invest time building it themselves. As a result, the new Wabi now has AI proactively generating the required mini-programs. However, Wabi’s personal AI assistant only fully launched on October 19. While the company emphasized "strong demand" in its funding announcement, it did not disclose active user, retention, or revenue data. Kuyda also noted 10 days ago that the product is currently free, with its business model not yet finalized.
