According to Coinglass data, as Bitcoin has continued its downward trend to fall below $81,000 and Ethereum has dropped below $2,500, funding rates on major centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) crypto exchanges signal the market has turned bearish again. Specific funding rates are detailed in the attached chart. BlockBeats Note: The funding rate is a mechanism set by cryptocurrency trading platforms to align contract prices with underlying asset values, primarily applicable to perpetual contracts. It acts as a fund transfer between long and short traders—trading platforms do not collect this fee. The rate adjusts the cost or profit of holding contracts, ensuring contract prices stay closely tied to underlying asset prices. A 0.01% funding rate is the benchmark. A rate above 0.01% signals broad market bullishness, while a rate below 0.005% indicates widespread bearish sentiment.
