According to CoinDesk, leading crypto media outlet Cointelegraph is seeking a buyer, with the specific asking price undisclosed. The report notes that after Google imposed a manual penalty on Cointelegraph in October 2025, its organic search traffic dropped by roughly 80%, and the site was temporarily removed from Google search results. Data from Similarweb shows its monthly visits have fallen from over 12 million in December 2024 to just over 700,000 in early September 2026. Founded in 2013, Cointelegraph has more than 200 employees and has not yet responded to a request for comment.

OpenAI solves 722 math problems overnight; a core researcher at the Ethereum Foundation calls on the industry to enter "Fortress Mode".

Ethereum Foundation core researcher Justin Drake published a post early this morning calling on the blockchain industry to enter "bunker mode": gradually migrate assets to new addresses and hide public keys behind hashes, to address the risk of AI enabling fast ECDSA private key recovery. The warning stems from 722 math papers published by OpenAI on October 6, which include disproofs of multiple long-standing conjectures (such as the Erd?s unit distance problem and the n log(n) lower bound for integer multiplication), signaling the rapid approach of mathematical superintelligence. Drake advised large holders and exchanges to take the lead in acting and avoid panic; he also noted that smaller BTC wallets still retain partial protection due to "Satoshi's shield"; and called for accelerating the adoption of hash-based cryptography (such as SPHINCS) as a standard for the post-AI era. In response to Drake’s call, Vitalik suggested that users prioritize storing funds in addresses that have never conducted transactions if operationally convenient, but advised against immediate hasty asset migration, as the migration itself carries risks of fund loss. He also recommended that multi-signature wallets use off-chain signature verification as much as possible to avoid public exposure of signature information.

OpenAI launches an interactive ChatGPT interface, debuts GPT-6 with non-text responses

Beating AI Express News: OpenAI has officially rolled out GPT-6 to ChatGPT users, alongside its new Intelligent UI. ChatGPT can now automatically generate charts, buttons, interactive diagrams and widgets based on user queries, allowing users to click and adjust parameters directly in responses, eliminating the need to parse long blocks of text. For example, asking about a bicycle’s structure will generate a clickable diagram of its parts; planning a trip will display maps and routes directly; learning complex concepts uses interactive charts for step-by-step understanding. Users can also request on-the-fly tools like retirement savings calculators, bill-splitting utilities, and even mini games. OpenAI developed a set of native UI components and compilers for this feature. GPT-6 determines when to use text, images or interactive controls, and displays the UI incrementally during response generation, without waiting for the full content to be completed. The model also improves response speed and search capabilities: it can process queries, call tools, and deliver partial answers in real time. OpenAI noted that for web search-dependent queries, GPT-6 Instant has an average start response time 44% shorter than GPT-5.6 Instant. Access details: Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users are receiving GPT-6 Sol now; Free and Go tier users will get GPT-6 Luna starting October 8.
