Coinbase plans to relaunch Coinbase Pro by the end of this year, supporting trading of spot, futures, perpetual contracts, options, and stocks. The firm has completed integration with Deribit to form the Coinbase Global exchange, as announced at Singapore’s Token2049 conference. “We are connecting the U.S. and international derivatives markets into a single liquidity pool for the first time. With the integration complete, we will launch Deribit-powered options, spot margin, and unified portfolios in the coming weeks,” Coinbase stated. Eligible non-U.S. traders will get options trading access in the coming weeks, while U.S. retail traders are expected to gain access later this year. U.S. institutional clients will be able to trade Deribit options and perpetual futures via Coinbase Prime. Registration is now open, with options trading set to launch in the coming weeks. Institutional clients can trade spot, futures, perpetual contracts, and options on the same platform, plus access custody, financing, and staking services. (The Block)

Uniswap Labs opens its fee redemption tool TJAR to applications, with Robinhood as its first partner.

Uniswap Labs announced it is opening Token Jar, its former protocol fee management tool, as an open-source utility called TJAR to third-party applications, with Robinhood serving as the first integrated partner. Apps can deposit cross-chain collected fee tokens into Token Jar, where searchers compete to convert them, and the application automatically receives its selected token. Token Jar recorded over $15.3 million in conversion volume in September. For its own operations, Uniswap uses UNI for payments and sends tokens to a burn address; other applications can choose their own receiving token and address. Robinhood has already used TJAR for fees collected via the Uniswap API on its supported chains, converting the fees to USDC and USDG. TJAR is now live on seven blockchains, with developers able to access its code, deployment addresses, and audit reports. The Uniswap DAO can set an optional protocol fee for TJAR, which has not been charged to date. The two parties have a prior collaboration: Uniswap’s trading protocol is deployed on Robinhood Chain, and its web app, wallet, and API also support Robinhood’s stock tokens.

Chainlink launches 24/7 market data service, with Aave as its official launch partner.

Chainlink announced the launch of Chainlink 24/7, a service that delivers round-the-clock market data for traditional assets such as stocks and commodities to on-chain markets, covering weekends and holidays to fill the pricing gap for US equities between Friday evening and Sunday evening, as well as on non-trading days. The service is delivered via Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams: during trading hours, it leverages existing 24/5 session data, while after traditional markets close, it aggregates quotes from multiple perpetual contract platforms to form a single continuous price reference. Official launch partner Aave is utilizing the 24/7 Data Feeds for its institutional lending platform Horizon to provide round-the-clock pricing for tokenized real-world asset (RWA) collateral, with initial coverage of high-volume US stocks. Chainlink noted that its 24/5 offering already provides delayed pricing for nearly half of tokenized stocks, supporting the pricing of over $1.6 billion in tokenized stocks across six blockchains for projects including Ondo, xStocks, Robinhood, and Coinbase.

Franklin Templeton launches two US-listed bitcoin ETFs with dividend reinvestment.

Asset management giant Franklin Templeton has launched two U.S.-listed ETFs: FBEQ, which tracks the VettaFi U.S. Large Cap 500 Bitcoin Dividend Reinvestment Index, and FIBT, which tracks the VettaFi U.S. Innovation 100 Bitcoin Dividend Reinvestment Index. Their expense ratios are 0.09% and 0.19% respectively. The products start with an allocation of approximately 95% to U.S. equities and 5% to Bitcoin exposure. The indexes reinvest both regular and special dividends from their constituent stocks into Bitcoin after the ex-dividend date, gradually boosting Bitcoin’s weight over time. To maintain Bitcoin as a secondary position, if Bitcoin’s weight exceeds 5% in a given quarter, it will be adjusted down to 4.5%; if it exceeds 20% at any point during the quarter, it will be reset to 4.5% two trading days later. The two funds do not hold Bitcoin directly, instead gaining exposure via instruments including Bitcoin ETPs, futures, and options.
