Monid Raises $7.7 Million in Funding, Building an Agent Tool Version of OpenRouter That Aggregates 2,500 APIs.

Beating AI News Flash: Agent tool platform Monid announced it has closed a $7.7 million seed round. Positioning itself as the "Agent tool version of OpenRouter", the platform allows developers to integrate once, after which agents can independently search for, compare, and call tools from various providers—eliminating the need for separate account registrations, API key management, and individual subscription purchases. Founder Shengkun Ye recently stated that Monid now covers around 2,500 APIs, spanning search, SEO, sales leads, e-commerce, stocks, social data, as well as video, images, music, 3D, agent email, and phone services. Agents will first search for suitable tools, then review input formats and pricing, before calling them directly. Fees are deducted uniformly from Monid balances, with different tools charged based on call frequency or returned results.

Hermes Model Leaderboard Launches, Opus 5.5 Takes Top Spot, Astra Ranks Second But Is Priciest

Beating AI Express: Nous Research launches the Hermes Index, a model leaderboard for Hermes Agents, to compare the performance of different models within the Hermes ecosystem. All models run on the same Hermes Agent framework, with inference settings uniformly set to "high". The leaderboard calculates average scores across four benchmarks—Hermes Bench, Terminal-Bench 4, Terminal-Bench Science, and SkillsBench—alongside average cost per task. Hermes Bench is Nous Research’s new custom test, featuring 150 tasks spanning 25 categories covering skills, research, charts and creation, memory, tool use, and security. Agents process workspaces and real files directly, with scoring based on generated outputs, task status, and tool usage logs. The initial version tests 14 models. Claude Opus 5.5 tops the leaderboard with 63.31 points, followed by GPT 6 Astra at 56.25 points, and Claude Sonnet 5.5 at 53.14 points. Astra has the highest average cost per task at $11.61, while Opus 5.5 costs $4.99 per task and Sonnet 5.5 costs $2.82; some data for the latter two are still marked as provisional by their respective developers. Among low-cost models, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash scores 36.91 points at $0.259 per task, and GPT 6 Luna scores 33.89 points at $0.141 per task. Both models fall on the Pareto frontier of cost vs. performance, meaning no model exists that is cheaper while achieving a higher score.

Day 2 of OpenAI's 28-Day Sprint: Four consecutive updates rolled out, with another potential quota reset

Beating AI News Flash: OpenAI Product and Platform Lead Thibault Sottiaux announced Day 2 of the company’s 28-day product sprint, rolling out four updates in one go. He later noted that Day 2 could end up bringing either four updates, a quota reset, or both, potentially resulting in four improvements plus one quota reset. For Codex users, the most direct update is Auto-review, which is now free for users logging in via ChatGPT accounts and no longer consumes subscription usage. Auto-review automatically determines whether to allow agents to run operations outside the sandbox, reducing the need for repeated user confirmations. Sottiaux added that this feature previously accounted for 2% to 10% of planned usage. The other three updates are: OpenAI streamlined its API’s five paid tiers into three: Build, Launch, and Grow; ChatGPT launched the Meetings plugin, which automatically records meetings and generates summaries and to-do lists; and the Decisions API is now in open beta, allowing apps to quickly select models, tools, or next steps.
