The default generation speed of GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol has been optimized, with the official reporting an overall improvement of roughly 50%. This speed upgrade covers not only Codex and ChatGPT Work, but also third-party products that access ChatGPT subscription quotas via "Sign in with ChatGPT"—including OpenCode, Pi, Amp, and Devin. No user settings need to be adjusted; the update will be automatically deployed. OpenAI previously pledged that over the coming 28 days, it would either deliver a daily update bringing tangible improvements for most Codex/Work users, or directly reset user quotas.
