According to Taiwanese media outlet Economic Daily, AMD (AMD.O) CEO Lisa Su held a series of back-to-back meetings today with major foundry and brand manufacturers including Foxconn, Quanta, ASUS, and Acer. In the afternoon, she drove straight to Hsinchu for a closed-door meeting with TSMC, the leading wafer foundry giant. Amid surging demand for AI computing, Su confirmed that AMD’s previously announced $10 billion (approximately NT$317.6 billion) supply chain investment plan in Taiwan is not only on track, but has also been scaled up due to explosive market demand. The company will continue to expand its supply chain investments in Taiwan going forward. Su emphasized that close collaboration between AMD and its key suppliers and partners is of utmost importance. Regarding the supply status of chips such as CPUs and GPUs, Su noted that this is an exciting time for all computing sectors. This year, AMD has significantly ramped up production driven by overall market demand, but demand still outpaces supply. As a result, AMD is accelerating capacity expansion efforts with TSMC, as well as with its backend packaging and testing and substrate suppliers.

He has ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to fully elevate its alert status. Katz emphasized in an official statement that the IDF must prepare for the worst-case scenario, and "in addition to the ongoing robust operations, it should also take decisive action against any intelligence or warnings to thwart all threats." Long-term Bitcoin holders have cut their positions for seven straight weeks, but this has not halted the cryptocurrency’s price rally.

Analyst Axel Adler Jr. noted that Bitcoin’s long-term holders (LTHs) have reduced their positions for seven consecutive weeks, yet Bitcoin’s price has continued to rise, indicating current market demand is still able to absorb this new supply. Data shows the LTH position change indicator turned negative on August 17 and has remained so since. On September 28, the metric fell to -73,400 BTC, compared to just -1,100 BTC one week prior. However, the current scale of sell-offs remains significantly smaller than the peak of -1.07 million BTC recorded in November 2025. Meanwhile, the LTH Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) has been above 1 for two consecutive weeks, hitting 1.18 on September 28, meaning recently transferred Bitcoin held by long-term holders has generated an average profit of around 18% relative to their cost basis. Adler Jr. stated that long-term holders are currently primarily taking profits amid the price rally, and the real cause for concern is a further expansion of sell-offs paired with Bitcoin’s price halting its rise or even turning downward.
