A Wall Street syndicate has launched a record $60 billion AI debt financing round to fund Anthropic's chip leasing.

2026.10.06 07:47:37

According to a report by the Financial Times, Bank of America, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley began on Monday to distribute portions of a $60 billion debt financing deal to other banks. The financing is intended to support Anthropic’s lease of Google chips and access to AI computing power, marking a record scale for a chip financing transaction. The three banks had previously committed to funding the deal. The financing package includes approximately $42 billion in senior secured loans backed by Broadcom, with syndication distribution now underway. Leveraging Broadcom’s A-level credit rating, this portion of debt could later be sold via private placements or investment-grade bond markets. Another $18 billion in subordinated debt not backed by Broadcom will be rolled out later, with BlackRock having committed to funding roughly $9 billion of that amount. The funds will be used for Anthropic’s 2027 chip orders, with lease payments set to commence after chip delivery. As subordinated debt lenders will directly bear Anthropic’s credit risk, banks may wait until after Anthropic’s planned initial public offering (IPO) before marketing the deal to investors to provide them with more financial disclosures. The deal is seen as a key indicator of market demand for AI-related debt financing.

The Cysic cross-chain bridge has been restored, and approximately 7.2 million CYS tokens have been permanently burned on BNB Chain.

Cysic has announced that its cross-chain bridge has fully recovered following the security incident, allowing users to resume bridging CYS between the Cysic mainnet and other supported chains. A total of 7,200,002 CYS tokens have been permanently burned on BNB Smart Chain. On October 17, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the cross-chain bridge’s message processing to mint 10 million CYS tokens without authorization. The attacker then sold approximately 7.2 million tokens and transferred around $727,000 in proceeds to Ethereum. Cysic subsequently suspended bridging services and blacklisted the attacker’s address to freeze the remaining ~2.8 million CYS. The project confirmed that assets in the mainnet and user wallets were unharmed. The foundation previously announced plans to burn ~7.2 million CYS from reserves to offset the unauthorized minting and recalibrate token economics, and two burn transactions have now been completed.

Uniswap Labs opens its fee redemption tool TJAR to applications, with Robinhood as its first partner.

Uniswap Labs announced it is opening Token Jar, its former protocol fee management tool, as an open-source utility called TJAR to third-party applications, with Robinhood serving as the first integrated partner. Apps can deposit cross-chain collected fee tokens into Token Jar, where searchers compete to convert them, and the application automatically receives its selected token. Token Jar recorded over $15.3 million in conversion volume in September. For its own operations, Uniswap uses UNI for payments and sends tokens to a burn address; other applications can choose their own receiving token and address. Robinhood has already used TJAR for fees collected via the Uniswap API on its supported chains, converting the fees to USDC and USDG. TJAR is now live on seven blockchains, with developers able to access its code, deployment addresses, and audit reports. The Uniswap DAO can set an optional protocol fee for TJAR, which has not been charged to date. The two parties have a prior collaboration: Uniswap’s trading protocol is deployed on Robinhood Chain, and its web app, wallet, and API also support Robinhood’s stock tokens.
