Metaplanet Inc. announced it added a net 1,000 Bitcoin (BTC) to its holdings in the third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. As of September 30, 2026, the group’s total Bitcoin holdings stood at 44,000 coins. During the quarter, the group also completed a Bitcoin sale-and-repurchase transaction to demonstrate its ability to convert Bitcoin positions into cash. The move is intended to strengthen market confidence in the company’s credit profile and broaden future financing channels—including corporate bond and preferred stock issuances—with the ultimate aim of further expanding the group’s Bitcoin holdings. Specifically, the group sold 10,000 BTC and repurchased 11,000 BTC during the period, leading to a net 1,000 BTC increase in its Bitcoin holdings.

In the crypto market, Bitcoin needs to hold above $87,200 to confirm the next upward move, while Ethereum is trading around $2,725 within the $2,650-$2,800 range, with an overall cautiously bullish trend. The Fed meeting minutes to be released this Wednesday will be a key catalyst; markets will watch whether previous hawkish dissents reflect the Fed’s actual stance. Additionally, the TOKEN2049 Singapore Conference and the October 14 CPI data are also worth monitoring.

Japanese listed company Remixpoint has increased its Bitcoin holdings by 7.45 BTC, bringing its total BTC holdings to 1,508.72.

According to TradingBeats monitoring, Hyperliquid whale address 0x0afb still holds a large long position in VIRTUAL, with 1x leverage, an average entry price of roughly $2.07, an unrealized loss of around $2.4 million, and a position return of approximately -57%. The address opened this VIRTUAL long position on May 12, 2025, and has held it continuously since, with a holding period nearing 17 months. Currently, the VIRTUAL perpetual contract on Hyperliquid is quoted at around $0.88, up about 11% in the past 24 hours, but still roughly 57% lower than the address’s average entry price.

Polymarket will file a lawsuit over the Dutch decision to ban operations of the U.S.-based prediction market platform. The company told Dutch financial daily Het Financieele Dagblad that the Dutch gambling regulator Ksa ordered Polymarket to cease operating in the Netherlands in February this year. Polymarket contends that its platform offers a financial product, so it should be regulated by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) rather than Ksa. Ksa previously ruled Polymarket is an unlicensed site and ordered it to stop operating in the Netherlands.
