Nasdaq-listed HYPE treasury firm Hyperion DeFi (Nasdaq: HYPD) announced the launch of a HYPD stock repurchase program, and has repaid approximately $8.6 million in legacy debt. Hyperion DeFi stated that it has repaid all outstanding principal and interest under its loan agreement with Avenue Capital. A portion of the debt repayment funds came from the sale of HYPE tokens. With the loan fully repaid, the company no longer has any long-term outstanding debt. Hyperion DeFi added that it recently raised its performance guidance and unveiled several new business initiatives; following debt clearance, the firm will have greater operational flexibility to expand its on-chain DeFi business and improve its capital structure.

Linea officially announced that, amid the MetaMask staking incident, some validators supporting its Yield Boost vaults are exiting as a preventive measure. The blockchain project stressed that the funds and control of the staking vaults themselves have not been compromised. The incident will lead to a temporary reduction in net staking rewards — the funding source for ecosystem incentives — during the period when the exiting validators are replaced by new ones. Linea added that it is closely monitoring the situation.

Users can opt to transfer assets to Ronin Stash (which supports email or social login) or to Ronin Wallet secured by mnemonics. Users who only use mnemonic wallets are not affected by this move. Additionally, bAXS and Badges must be processed separately via Axie’s official migration page, and this operation is limited to one time only. The official reminds users to confirm their target wallet has received assets post-migration and check for any remaining assets in the Waypoint Wallet.

According to monitoring by ai_9684xtpa, a whale that built a $6.99 million position in ETHFI starting September 29 appears to have taken profits on HYPE. Approximately 50 minutes ago, this address deposited 71,000 HYPE tokens into a trading platform, worth around $6.48 million at a deposit price of $91.26. Earlier, on September 4, the same address withdrew 142,834.56 HYPE at $86.15 per token, totaling roughly $12.3 million. If all the deposited HYPE is sold, the whale is expected to earn an approximate profit of $362,000.
