Acurast stated that Laya runs on Android smartphone nodes and is currently used for tasks including real-time gaming, autonomous navigation, email sorting, news headline recognition, content moderation, and prompt injection attack defense. Each decision typically takes 0.2 to 1 second to complete, operating exclusively on CPU. The project added that its network has connected over 280,000 smartphones across more than 175 countries and regions worldwide, and has processed more than 918 million on-chain transactions.
