Fidelity executive: Power law model shows Bitcoin may have entered a new bull market, could rise to $300,000 by 2029

According to The Wall Street Journal, roughly five weeks ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, Donald Trump predicted to associates that the Republican Party would outperform expectations in November, though GOP candidates, strategists and lawmakers are growing increasingly concerned about the electoral outlook. The latest WSJ poll shows Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 37%, the lowest level recorded for any president ahead of midterms since the survey began tracking such data in 1990. Conducted September 16-21, the poll surveyed 1,500 registered voters, with a margin of error of ±2.5 percentage points. Among voters who backed Trump in 2024, 11% say they regret their vote; 11% of Republican voters who do not identify as part of the MAGA movement also plan to support Democrats in congressional races. Recently, some Republican candidates in key states have publicly called for an end to the war on Iran, or distanced themselves from Trump’s immigration and energy policies. Democrats need only gain a small number of seats to retake the House of Representatives, while the Republican-controlled Senate is widely considered a toss-up. Trump is currently focusing on roughly 35 competitive races, and plans to campaign for GOP candidates via virtual rallies and trips to swing states.

According to Al Jazeera, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran "no longer trusts negotiations with Washington" as the U.S. repeatedly launches attacks and imposes sanctions after every round of talks. Qatar and Pakistan are currently mediating between Iran and the United States, conveying Tehran’s messages to Washington. Pezeshkian also noted that any negotiations must be based on the memorandum of understanding previously signed by the two countries, adding that the U.S. must clarify its position on this document. He further blamed the U.S. for the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, claiming, "It is the United States that has blocked our path." "When Iran’s path is blocked, closing the Strait of Hormuz is a natural response." "The Strait of Hormuz crisis can be resolved through negotiations rather than the use of force." "If negotiations lead to a resolution of the dispute, the waterway will remain open to trade."

Robinhood-linked crypto, stock, and meme coin issuance platform Long.xyz has announced the launch of the "LONG 500", designed to build a financial layer for on-chain stock communities, with the goal of becoming the "S&P 500 of tokenized stocks" and establishing an AI community treasury as a community-held diversified reserve on Robinhood Chain. LONG currently supports over 70 tokenized stocks. Going forward, every newly launched stock pairing trading pool will allocate a portion of stock token transaction fees directly to the Meme Coin AI Community Treasury. AI holders will gain access to and support new stock communities through this mechanism, while project creators can connect with the existing AI community and its users. Under the new mechanism, 5% of the transaction fees generated by new stock pairing pools will go to the AI reserve, while another 5% will be used to repurchase and burn tokens paired with the stocks, with repurchases triggerable by anyone at any time. The automatic reinvestment mechanism for liquidity pool returns will remain in effect, and creator fees will stay unchanged. CryptoQuant Research Head Julio Moreno stated that amid Bitcoin’s recent rally, the market’s unrealized profit rate climbed to 33%, reaching its highest level since December 2024. At the same time, Bitcoin’s take-profit volume rose to 25,700 BTC, marking the highest level since 2026. Moreno pointed out that the simultaneous increase in the unrealized profit rate and take-profit volume typically signals that the current upward momentum is weakening, leaving the market facing a correction risk.

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) commissioner Hester Peirce has officially submitted her resignation and will step down on October 2. Peirce, who has served at the SEC for approximately 8 years, is known in the industry as the "Crypto Mom" for her longstanding advocacy of establishing a clear, rule-based regulatory framework for the crypto sector. Since February 4, 2025, Peirce has also served as head of the SEC’s Crypto Working Group, driving research into how existing securities laws apply to digital assets and decentralized systems. Her term as an SEC commissioner expired in June 2025, but under relevant regulations, she may continue serving for approximately 18 months until a successor is appointed. Peirce is expected to join the Regent University School of Law in Virginia in November as an associate professor, where she will conduct teaching and research in areas including federal litigation, securities regulation, and digital assets. Following her departure, the SEC will temporarily have only two Republican members: Chairman Paul Atkins and Commissioner Mark Uyeda, and the seat she is vacating may not be filled immediately.

Crypto trader Ansem stated that airdrops remain one of the strongest catalysts driving users and trading activity back on-chain.
