Ducat was originally designed to maintain a price floor via its mechanism, but many participants failed to fully grasp this mechanism. During the shutdown period, the team will confirm that Ducat is fully backed by treasury assets, with each Ducat token entitling holders to a pro-rata share of the protocol’s treasury assets. All interests related to DUCAT treasury assets—including vested bonds, vested Pass rewards, staked pDUCAT, pDUCAT in cooling period, and circulating DUCAT in wallets—are eligible for redemption, no cooling period wait required. The protocol noted that the team has taken a snapshot of DUCAT holders; holders included in the snapshot can redeem the fair value of their corresponding Ducat from the protocol treasury. Ducat tokens purchased via liquidity pools after the snapshot is completed are not eligible for redemption. The team has also updated the front-end interface to enable smooth redemptions for users.

California's financial regulators warned that a federal proposal could weaken protections for investors participating in high-risk crypto asset offerings.
