Binance has renamed its Funding Account to Stock Account, and crypto assets held in the original account will be migrated to Spot Accounts.

According to an official announcement, Binance will gradually migrate crypto assets from users’ Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts starting September 29, 2026, in a move to simplify its user account structure and enhance asset management experience. The migration is expected to run through January 2027, with specific dates to be announced separately. After the migration period concludes, the Funding Account will be renamed the Stocks Account, which will thereafter be used exclusively for stock and stock option trading and settlement. Key details include: Starting September 29, 2026, the Funding Account will no longer support on-chain deposits. Users can trade stocks and stock options via the Stocks Account, which supports six settlement assets: USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB. The Funding Account will be officially renamed the Stocks Account in January 2027, with the exact date to be confirmed. Post-renaming, users may still use the aforementioned six tokens to purchase stocks via the Stocks Account, while deposits and withdrawals of other crypto tokens will only be processed through the Spot Account. A "One-Click Migration" button will be added to the Funding Account, enabling users to manually transfer crypto assets to the Spot Account. Assets not migrated by users will be automatically transferred in batches by Binance’s system starting January 2027, requiring no manual action from users, and their total asset balance will remain unaffected.
