The firm believes this rebound confirms the June lows remain valid. With a flood of macroeconomic news coming in the next week, the current focus is on establishing new support levels and digesting profit-taking. “Market sentiment is clearly brimming with confidence this year, and the foundation of this rally appears solid. Serenity: AI Triggers Major Valuation Misalignment, Reshaping Value Investment Logic

Serenity posted on X that traditional value investing appears to have entered a "hibernation period". In the past, investors sought companies with price-earnings (P/E) ratios of 10 to 12, slow growth, and the ability to boost value via share buybacks and dividends supported by cash flow. Today, the market even has firms with a P/E ratio of just 1.8 times and year-over-year revenue growth of 605.24%, where the key discussion among investors centers on how long this growth can sustain. Separately, Japan’s Sumitomo boasts a P/E ratio of only 16.2 times, yet it holds extensive long-term contracts with hyperscale cloud service providers for its AI businesses spanning optical fibers to lasers. Serenity argues that AI has created a larger valuation mismatch in the medium term, driving a gradual shift from "value investing" to high-growth "deep value" companies.
