Binance announced it will launch 24/7 forex perpetual contracts, with its first product being USD/Brazilian Real (USDBRLUSDT). The product is scheduled to go live on September 21, settled in USDT, and offers up to 100x leverage. For pricing, it will use weighted index data from a third-party provider during traditional forex trading hours; on weekends and public holidays, it will adopt order book-based pricing calculated via the exponential moving average of order book prices to enable round-the-clock trading. Binance stated that the 24/7 forex perpetual contracts aim to break the weekend trading halt limit of traditional forex markets, providing traders with a round-the-clock channel for exchange rate price discovery, hedging and trading.
