Samsung Electronics America has officially listed "stablecoins" in the payment partnership segment of Samsung Wallet and is recruiting relevant business development staff. According to a job posting released by Samsung Electronics America on September 18, the company is hiring a Senior Manager for Samsung Wallet payment business development in New York. The role will be responsible for Samsung Wallet’s vision, strategy and execution, Samsung noted. Notably, in the payment partnership responsibilities, the company explicitly listed issuers, payments, fintech, as well as "stablecoins" and buy now, pay later (BNPL) services. Specifically, the position will oversee business development and marketing strategies for Samsung Wallet’s payment partnerships, and manage existing collaborations. It will also negotiate and sign agreements with partners on commercial terms, data usage and product requirements, collaborate with product teams and other departments to roll out new features, and coordinate marketing, analytics and legal teams to develop product launch plans. Earlier this year, Samsung Electronics announced plans to support stablecoins in Samsung Wallet at the July Galaxy Unpacked event. The event content published by Samsung Business Insights explicitly stated that Samsung Wallet will support stablecoins in the future. At that time, Samsung also announced it would launch the "Galaxy Card" in the U.S. in partnership with Barclays and Visa.

USELESS is his most favored meme coin at present, and he believes it could be one of the first meme coins in this cycle to reach a $10 billion market cap. He advises comparing USELESS’s current price action to BONK’s trend between January and November 2023. Currently, USELESS’s technical pattern closely resembles BONK’s earlier trajectory, and he notes that a breakout from this pattern could trigger a substantial price rally, adding that market participants may not be fully prepared for the subsequent move.

According to HTX market data, Bitcoin rallied to hit $81,000, now priced at $81,000, with a 5.85% 24-hour gain.

Glassnode noted in a post that altcoin leverage levels remain below the risk threshold. Markets typically turn overheated when the gap between altcoin open interest (OI) and Bitcoin’s OI narrows to within a few percentage points. This condition has not yet materialized, indicating altcoins still have room for further upside.

According to Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance has ended its partnership with Polymarket. Under the collaboration, the financial news platform used Polymarket’s data to create a prediction market hub on its website. The two companies reached the deal last November, when Polymarket announced on social media that it had become Yahoo Finance’s exclusive prediction market partner. The agreement included establishing a prediction market hub to showcase probability data for "key economic, governmental, and market outcomes".
