The EU’s 5-billion-euro tech fund has approached ElevenLabs, with plans to invest in the UK-based voice AI unicorn.
Bloomberg reports that people familiar with the matter said the newly established European tech growth fund Scaleup Europe Fund is in talks to invest in UK-based artificial intelligence company ElevenLabs Inc. The €5 billion fund, managed by Swedish private equity firm EQT AB, has made a series of investments in multiple unlisted European tech firms since its launch earlier this year, focusing on strategic sectors including AI, quantum technology, semiconductors, robotics, energy, aerospace and biotech. Its goal is to fill Europe’s late-stage financing gap and prevent high-growth companies from turning to the U.S. for capital. ElevenLabs is renowned for generative voice and conversational AI. In February this year, it closed a roughly $500 million Series D funding round led by Sequoia Capital, valuing the company at around $11 billion, and has attracted additional investments from firms such as a16z and ICONIQ. Discussions between the two sides are still ongoing, with details including the investment amount, valuation, and whether the fund will lead or participate in the round yet to be finalized.

AI data center developer Crusoe has completed a $3.9 billion funding round, with a valuation approaching $31 billion.
AI data center developer Crusoe has secured a $3.9 billion funding round, with its valuation now approaching $31 billion. The firm was previously renowned for building the large data center complex used by OpenAI in Abilene, Texas, and is now aggressively expanding into small data centers. These small facilities can be manufactured at Crusoe’s own factories, loaded onto flatbed trucks, and transported to any location with access to available power for deployment. Small data centers are faster and more cost-effective than projects relying entirely on large-scale construction. As large data center projects across the U.S. face rising costs and delays, Crusoe believes its factory-prebuilt, truck-transportable, on-site deployment model can drastically shorten delivery timelines.

Coreweave plans to issue $3 billion in convertible senior notes, with its pre-market gains narrowed to 3%.
U.S. AI cloud infrastructure provider Coreweave (CRWV.O) announced plans for a private placement of convertible senior notes totaling $3 billion in principal, maturing April 1, 2033. The firm also granted initial purchasers an over-allotment option to buy up to an additional $500 million in notes within 13 days of the initial offering. The notes are senior unsecured obligations backed by an unconditional joint guarantee from Coreweave’s wholly owned subsidiary, with interest paid in cash semi-annually. Holders may convert the notes into shares upon meeting specified conditions, and the company may settle conversions in cash, Class A common stock, or a mix of both. The coupon rate and initial conversion price will be set at pricing. A portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase capped-call options to hedge equity dilution from conversions, with the rest allocated to general corporate purposes. If the over-allotment option is exercised, the additional funds will also be partially used to add to these option trades, with the remainder for corporate operations. Per market data from BIT (bit.com), Coreweave (CRWV.O)’s pre-market gains narrowed to 3%.
