Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have privately warned Donald Trump that the U.S.-Iran conflict could last through the remainder of his presidential term and even beyond the January 2029 presidential inauguration. The report states that the advisors told Trump in private discussions at the White House Oval Office and Situation Room that Iran may continue resisting U.S. pressure, leading to a prolonged conflict.
