After Sora was shut down, its former project lead teamed up with the founder of DreamWorks to launch a new venture focused on AI video.

Beating AI News reports, citing The Information and sources familiar with the matter, that DreamWorks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg is launching an AI video company with former OpenAI Sora lead Bill Peebles and ex-Dropbox CFO Sujay Jaswa. The startup will train its own video models to target filmmakers directly, and is currently in talks with investors including a16z for funding. The company’s name and funding size have not been disclosed. Peebles served as Sora’s core technical lead and is one of the authors of the Diffusion Transformer (DiT) paper. He left OpenAI shortly after the company shut down Sora’s consumer app and API this year, publicly stating at the time that exploratory research of this type needs space to operate outside a company’s core product roadmap. Katzenberg has already made an AI video bet this year: in May, his firm WndrCo participated in a $59 million funding round for real-time AI video startup Reactor. This time, he is going beyond investor status to co-found a company with the former Sora lead to build its own models. This marks Katzenberg’s most ambitious video venture since Quibi. The short-form video platform raised $1.75 billion but folded shortly after launching in 2020. Six years later, he is returning to the video space, though this time shifting from a short-form platform to developing AI models for filmmakers.

Visa, Mastercard, and Ant International join forces: AI Agent payments to require "identity credentials"

Beating AI Express News: Ant International, Visa, and Mastercard announced a partnership to advance mutual recognition of KYA (Know Your Agent). KYA can be understood as "identity authentication for AI Agents" — it confirms who an agent is and who it represents, allowing payment networks to assess its trustworthiness. The three companies aim to integrate this authentication system. Going forward, once an AI Agent completes verification in one ecosystem, it will be recognized across other payment networks with its identity and trust data already on file, eliminating the need to re-register and re-verify from scratch each time.

Suno finally adopts licensed music, but its v6 version is being criticized by users as inferior to the old version.

Beating AI News – AI music platform Suno has released its new generation models: v6, v6-wild, and the free v6-mini, while retiring all previous models. The v6 model focuses on stability and controllability, while v6-wild is more random and experimental. This marks Suno’s first collaboration with music companies including Warner Music, BMG, and Believe to develop new models, now using licensed music for training. Earlier, Warner sued Suno, and Believe once banned the distribution of Suno-generated songs. However, the first wave of user feedback has been poor. Many long-time users complain that v6 is more muffled, has muddier vocals, and is more homogeneous than v5 and v5.5, even demanding the restoration of the old models.

Long.xyz founder hints at a major update, stating that it will focus on building a "distribution mechanism independent of crypto cycles".

Robinhood-linked crypto, meme coin, and stock launch platform Long.xyz founder Nate posted that in the coming days, the team will "build a launch mechanism independent of the on-chain/crypto/meta cycle." Nate noted the market "still greatly underestimates the narrative space, launch dynamics, and capital scale of the stock market, compared to anything we’ve witnessed before. We’ve already started seeing this play out on LONG; every top pair on the platform is building its own unique narrative and launch strategy. Once we move beyond relying solely on CT (Crypto Twitter), the space will become 1,000 times larger and more PVE."
