Boosted by expectations of faster interest rate hikes from the Bank of Japan and potential capital inflows into Japanese assets, the yen has extended its recent rally against the U.S. dollar. Ornn noted that the H100, a training GPU released years ago, has seen its rental price surge by 22% over the past month, reaching a new high of $3.28 per unit per hour. Huang used this to emphasize that NVIDIA’s compute power can be continuously rented out for profit, serving as a revenue-generating asset. Ornn’s H100 Index is calculated based on actual rental transaction prices.
