Liquid Network says approximately 4,000 BTC were withdrawn by a white hat hacker, leading to the suspension of its sidechain operations.

According to a post on Liquid Network’s official X account (@Liquid_BTC), an alleged white-hat hacker withdrew roughly 4,000 BTC (worth approximately $320 million) from the Liquid Federation wallet using SideSwap PAK (Peg-out Authorization Key). The project’s official noted that the key itself was not compromised, and the Blockstream team is attempting to contact the hacker via on-chain signed messages. Following the incident, multiple exchanges have suspended or will soon suspend LBTC deposit and withdrawal services; bridge nodes have been temporarily shut down, and the Liquid sidechain is currently suspended, unable to process new transactions.
