It allows plugins to integrate directly with Claude Code via TypeScript functions, and even modify React interface components, display content, and interactions. Function Hooks operate similarly to middleware in Express or Koa, enabling multiple plugins to be nested in layers. Plugins execute operations via a controlled `$` object, and administrators can revoke certain capabilities, preventing subsequent plugins from accessing them. A Hook can also monitor all events and operations issued by plugins via the `$` object, enabling unified audit logging. The biggest change is that Claude Code plugins now have capabilities extending into the interface and interaction layers.
