HYPE Treasury firm Hyperliquid Strategies has increased its financing limit to $2.5 billion, earmarking the funds for its reserve strategy.

Nasdaq-listed Hyperliquid Strategies (HSI) has increased its committed equity financing facility with Chardan Capital Markets from $1 billion to $2.5 billion, a 150% rise. The financing mechanism allows the firm to raise capital via new share issuances for its HYPE reserve strategy. As of June 30, HSI held approximately 29.3 million HYPE tokens, with related assets totaling around $1.904 billion. The company had earlier raised $646.6 million through this financing arrangement and deployed $773.4 million to acquire an additional ~16.5 million HYPE tokens, at an average cost of $46.77 per token. The amendment also imposes stricter limits on low-price share issuances: after cumulative share sales of $1 billion under this facility, if the issuance price falls below $12.02, the actual number of shares issued shall not exceed 42.6418 million, equivalent to 19.99% of the pre-amendment outstanding shares, unless approved by shareholders or subject to other applicable exemptions.

European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member Mahrouf says the bank must be prepared for further interest rate hikes.

According to a report by the Financial Times, ECB Governing Council member Mahrouf stated that if inflation starts moving in the "wrong direction", the European Central Bank (ECB) should not rule out further interest rate hikes. He noted that eurozone inflation is currently hovering above 3%, while economic growth is slightly stronger than pre-summer forecasts, a development that leaves him "uneasy". Mahrouf added that even if the benchmark deposit rate rises to 2.5%, monetary policy will not yet be restrictive for economic activity; truly restrictive policy will only kick in once rates exceed roughly 2.75%. He projected that the ECB will also revise up its eurozone economic growth forecast slightly this year. Mahrouf said it is currently unclear whether further rate hikes will be needed after next week’s increase, and the ECB should stick to its "meeting-by-meeting" decision-making approach, avoiding forward guidance. He also pointed out that inflation expectations are currently well-anchored, with no signs that wages are triggering a second-round inflation effect, and related risks are being contained.

Google adds video Agent to Gemini, cutting costs by up to 66%

Beating AI News: Google has launched Agentic Video Understanding for its Gemini API. The feature enables the model to autonomously decide which video segments to process and how to analyze them. The standard mode defaults to extracting frames at a fixed 1 FPS rate before feeding all frames into the model’s context window at once. The new mode, by contrast, automatically identifies relevant segments along the video timeline, selecting visual frames, audio, or transcribed text based on the query. When fast-paced actions are detected, it can even increase the frame rate to re-examine those segments. Google’s internal testing shows that enabling this feature on Gemini 3.7 Flash cuts token consumption by up to 88%, analysis costs by up to 66%, and boosts relative accuracy by up to around 7%. The capability can pinpoint moments shorter than one second and locate specific details within hours-long videos. Technically, this integrates the "localize first, refine later" workflow that developers previously had to build themselves directly into Gemini’s core. The feature is now supported on Gemini 3.7 Flash, 3.6 Flash, and 3.5 Flash-Lite. It works with both uploaded videos and YouTube videos, with no extra fees for the functionality. Future plans include integrating it into the Gemini App and YouTube’s Ask YouTube tool.
