This indicates that despite rising distribution activity, long-term holders still hold substantial unrealized profits. Adler argues that the price rebound after the short squeeze has simultaneously lifted long-term holders’ profit levels and the pace of token distribution, creating conditions for further profit-taking. If Bitcoin prices hold steady, long-term holders may continue releasing supply, adding extra selling pressure to the market. The current market crux is whether long-term holders will sustain high-level distribution and whether new buying demand can absorb this additional supply; otherwise, the market may face renewed price pressure.

The tool directly modifies model weights to weaken the model’s request refusal mechanism, targeting offensive cybersecurity, red team operations, and agent testing, and offers a paid API service. Zhipu AI had previously delayed the open release of GLM-5.3’s weights by two weeks for security assessment and hardening. After the weights were made public on August 28, Abliteration rolled out this modified version in just three days. GLM-5.3’s cyberattack capabilities are already far stronger than GLM-5.2: its ExploitBench score rose from 24.4% to 54.4%, and its two-hour ExploitGym task completion count jumped from 29 to 105. Abliteration has not yet released retest results for the refusal-free variant. Its API currently only defaults to blocking child sexual exploitation and self-harm content, while allowing default access to illegal activities, hate speech, harassment, and adult content.

Solana-based automated market maker (AMM) Aquifer was hacked on August 31, incurring losses of approximately $2.5 million. The protocol later issued an on-chain "white hat" offer, demanding the attacker return at least 80% of the stolen funds to designated Solana and Ethereum recovery addresses by 22:00 on September 3, with the attacker permitted to retain up to 20% as a bounty. The project team has committed to not filing civil lawsuits against the attacker if the terms are met.
