Analyst: Bitcoin short-term holders’ unrealized profit is nearly 15%, facing profit-taking pressure near the $80,000 level.

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said that during Bitcoin’s recent surge to $80,000, the average unrealized profit of short-term holders (STH) once approached 15%. The group’s current average cost basis is estimated at around $70,100, hitting the highest profitability level since July 2025. Darkfost argues that when short-term holders’ profits reach this zone, their position stability usually drops, and some investors may choose to take profits. Therefore, Bitcoin’s temporary stagnation near $80,000 is not unexpected, as short-term profit-taking could become a pressure that needs to be absorbed for further price gains.

Grok Bot is now deeply integrated with X, enabling it to search posts, read timelines, and monitor activities on an ongoing basis.

Beating AI News Flash: SpaceXAI has integrated X into its Grok Bot. After users link their X accounts, the system will automatically create a developer account if they don’t already have one. Paid Grok Bot users also receive a free X API call quota. Post-integration, Grok Bot can directly search posts, read personal timelines, check mentions, summarize X’s latest trends, and view and manage bookmarks. Previously, accessing the X API required users to apply for a developer account and configure the API themselves—steps now largely handled by Grok Bot. Paired with Grok Bot’s continuous operation capability, users can have it monitor X long-term, automatically organize trending topics, track accounts, or periodically summarize bookmarked content. However, it currently can only read X content and manage bookmarks, and cannot post, reply, like, repost, or send direct messages. While the authorization page requests broader permissions like managing lists and blocking accounts, these operations are not yet available among the 25 tools open to X plugins.

Analyst: The US jobs report is expected to support Walsh’s view on the labor market.

Economists forecast that the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly jobs report, due out Friday, will show nonfarm payrolls rose by 55,000 in August, following an unexpected decline in July employment. If realized, this figure will align roughly with the average monthly gain recorded so far this year. The unemployment rate is projected to hold steady at 4.1%. Analyst Anna Wong stated that Fed official Christopher Waller’s hawkish remarks at the Jackson Hole Symposium have increased the likelihood of a September interest rate hike and altered market expectations for how next week’s data should be interpreted. The August nonfarm payrolls report remains a key headline data point, but its projected weak performance may not carry as much decisive influence as usual. Waller characterized the labor market as being in good health, noting that slowing job growth is often a demographic issue rather than a sign of recession. (Jin10)

Ansem: The crypto market remains in its early stages, with some tokens in the price discovery phase still near their breakout starting points.

Crypto KOL Ansem said he noted two weeks ago that the current crypto market remains in a very early phase, and he is sticking to this view. Even for investors who have not allocated to relevant tokens yet, starting to monitor the market, draft a trading plan, and set dollar-cost averaging entry levels now could still yield high returns. For tokens that have already entered the price discovery phase, Ansem believes current prices are still near the starting point of this rally, and there may not be significantly better entry opportunities later than the current stage. Therefore, investors without positions should develop their plans in advance instead of waiting for market hype to fully heat up before making decisions.

A prominent trader says Bitcoin is likely to fluctuate within the range of $71,000 to $82,000, and remains bullish on an upward breakout.

Prominent crypto trader Doctor Profit said bearish sentiment for Bitcoin is likely to intensify in the coming days, putting greater pressure on bulls. He believes the market may use short-term price volatility to flush out late bullish entrants and weak-handed holders. Doctor Profit projects BTC will consolidate in a range of $71,000 to $82,000, with $71,000 as the range floor and $82,000 as the key resistance to break. He remains bullish on BTC’s eventual upside breakout, regardless of whether it comes on the first or third attempt. Doctor Profit emphasized that he is currently not shorting or selling, and continues to hold his spot positions established around $62,000.

Codex fixes 8 quota-draining bugs: the same amount of quota can now be used 10% to 50% more, with users set to experience two quota resets over two days.

Beating AI Insight News Brief: OpenAI has fixed 8 issues in Codex that caused extra usage quota consumption, and reset quotas for all paid Codex and ChatGPT Work users. Tibo noted that, depending on usage patterns, the same quota is now expected to last 10% to 50% longer. The `/goal` command is the most token-intensive feature; some completed tasks failed to stop properly, with individual instances consuming 15% to 70% of weekly quota. The Computer History function, which repeatedly summarizes past operations, also consumes roughly 20% of weekly quota in some cases. Additional excess consumption has been observed in image compression, background memory, automated tasks, sub-agents, and MCP. The weekend’s good news for Codex users may not end here. Yesterday, Tibo teased that Codex was approaching a new user milestone and hinted at a celebration. Following today’s bug fixes and quota reset, he stated: “The button has been pressed today, so the celebration is moved to tomorrow.” In the past, Codex has offered quota resets when hitting milestones like 15 million and 20 million users, making another reset highly likely tomorrow.
