According to Iranian media outlet PressTV, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reposted an earlier post of his own to respond to remarks by US Central Command Commander Michael Kurilla, who claimed US forces have full control over the Strait of Hormuz and cut off Iran’s oil exports. Ghalibaf stated: “The rules of engagement in this war are clear: either everyone can sell oil, or no one can. If our security is not guaranteed, then no infrastructure will be safe. The Strait of Hormuz can only be secured without the presence of US forces. We have repeatedly stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not revert to its pre-war status.”

Sports business journalist Joe Pompliano reported that Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman invested in Hugging Face early on. They contributed $100,000 in the AI startup’s 2018 seed round and another $150,000 in its 2019 Series A round, totaling just $250,000. Based on Nvidia’s $12.9 billion acquisition of Hugging Face, these two early investments are now estimated to be worth over $60 million. The $250,000 outlay translates to a gross return of more than 240 times. This figure is even higher than Durant’s salary for a single NBA season; he currently plays for the Houston Rockets, with a 2026-27 season salary of roughly $43.9 million. Durant later also participated in Hugging Face’s Series B and C financing rounds, though the amount of additional capital he invested has not been made public. As such, the $60 million and 240x return only reflect estimates of the value of his first two $250,000 investments, not Durant’s total final gains from Hugging Face.
