The Claude Cowork desktop version now includes a built-in standalone browser, opening web tasks directly in the sidebar. Claude can independently browse web pages, click elements, input text, and fill out forms—no Chrome extension needed. Meanwhile, Claude in Chrome has exited beta and is now officially available to all paid plans. The core difference between the two is login status: Claude Cowork uses Claude’s own browser, isolated from the user’s regular browser, and by default cannot access the user’s tabs, bookmarks, or passwords; users can import login credentials for individual sites. Claude in Chrome, by contrast, operates directly on the user’s open, logged-in Chrome browser, making it better suited for tasks like handling emails, CRMs, or web pages being edited. The Chrome version has also unlocked automatic operations. Previously, Claude required user approval for nearly every action step; now, it first scans web pages for malicious instructions and verifies that planned actions align with the original task. If security checks pass, it can proceed independently. In Anthropic’s latest red team tests, Sonnet 5 and Opus 5 had no successful prompt injection attacks, while Fable 5 recorded a 0.3% success rate. The company, however, acknowledged that such risks cannot be fully eliminated.

Bitfinex Securities, the tokenized asset trading platform linked to crypto exchange Bitfinex, announced it is preparing to list a new security, ALKN, tied to Luxembourg industrial metals platform Alkemya Metacore. The latter’s core assets include $1.6 billion (approximately 7 million metric tons) in high-purity nickel wire inventory, currently stored in Switzerland, with wide applications in semiconductors, aerospace, defense and other sectors. Alkemya Metacore raised $50 million via tokenization, with the funds to support its operating subsidiary Green Transitional Metals in the R&D and commercialization of nickel products for fields such as electromagnetic shielding, aerospace, defense, semiconductors, power industrial systems, green hydrogen and precious metal recycling. Initial subscriptions for ALKN tokens for accredited investors will run through October 15, marking it as one of the world’s first tokenized nickel products and the first tokenized commodity issuance project under El Salvador’s digital asset regulatory framework. Fixed-rate lending protocol TermMax (parent company Term Structure Labs) announced a strategic investment from YZi Labs, with the investment amount undisclosed. TermMax is a selected project in the third season of YZi Labs’ incubation program EASY Residency. The protocol has raised over $8 million in total funding; previous investors include Cumberland DRW, which led its 2023 seed round, as well as firms such as HashKey Capital, Decima Fund, Longling Capital, and MZ Web3 Fund. TermMax’s mainnet launched in April 2025, and is currently deployed across 10 EVM-compatible blockchains, operating 60 fixed-rate markets and 40 strategy vaults, with a total value locked (TVL) of tens of millions of dollars and over 1.5 million registered wallets. The protocol enables fixed-rate lending by splitting debt into three tradable tokens: FT (zero-coupon bonds), XT (interest and option value), and GT (leveraged position certificates), with settlements executed via physical delivery. Its native token $TMX completed its Token Generation Event (TGE) on August 25, and began trading simultaneously on platforms including Binance Alpha, Kraken, Bitget, MEXC, and KuCoin on its first day. According to updates, TermMax will advance its development along three core directions: on-chain yield curves, interest and option markets for tokenized stocks, and institutional lending platform TermPrime.

Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm published a post challenging the U.S. government’s handling of his case, citing public court filings that blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis operated the Tornado Cash Relayer in 2022 and collected fees from transactions routed through the tool. Storm said his legal team had previously summoned Chainalysis personnel to testify in court, but Chainalysis filed a motion to quash the subpoena, which the U.S. government supported. Court records also show a Chainalysis witness planned to invoke the Fifth Amendment to avoid testifying. Storm questioned that Chainalysis—a government partner for blockchain tracking—actually operated Tornado Cash infrastructure and profited, while he faces ongoing criminal prosecution for his role in developing Tornado Cash. Storm added that his case’s retrial has been delayed by the court to April 26, 2027, and his motion for acquittal remains pending.

According to monitoring by Blockaid, its exploit detection system has identified suspicious activity on Moonwell on the Base blockchain. Attackers manipulated the price of MAMO collateral to borrow cbBTC from the mCBTC market; the observed impact to date is that 50.6 cbBTC tokens, valued at over $4 million, have been transferred.

Its yield stems from the spread generated when Brazilian merchants sell future credit card receivables at a discount; after acquiring institutions settle via Visa and Mastercard networks, the discounted portion is converted into investor returns. The product hedges Brazilian real (BRL) vs. U.S. dollar (USD) exchange rate volatility using institutional-grade non-deliverable forward (NDF) contracts, with yields paid in USD, and maintains a dedicated liquidity reserve to support redemptions. The product has obtained an investment-grade risk rating from Cicada Partners and secured over $300 million in institutional committed capital. nOPAL subscriptions and redemptions on Bybit RWA Earn are priced in USDC, with a minimum investment of 500 USDC and no subscription or redemption fees.
