Six Bitcoin addresses dormant for over 10 years have recently reactivated, transferring 553.59 BTC.

Payment firm Lydian has announced that its merchant checkout application Lydian Pay is now available on Apple App Store and Google Play. Merchants can download the free app on their existing smartphones or tablets, complete verification, and start accepting payments—no card readers, contracts, or additional hardware required. Customers pay via digital asset wallets, while merchants settle funds to their existing bank accounts in local fiat currency. Lydian does not hold custody of merchants’ funds, and payment records can be reconciled through the Lydian Merchant Portal. The app supports merchants to select their accepted wallets, assets, and networks; it currently covers assets including USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, TRX, and networks such as Ethereum, Tron, Polygon, Solana, Arbitrum, Base, and Bitcoin.

Berkshire Hathaway will make an additional $300 million investment in Nasdaq-listed Bending Spoons, purchasing 10 million common shares via private placement at $33 per share; its stake will rise to approximately 4% after completion. Bending Spoons stated that Berkshire had previously invested $600 million in the company during its July 2026 initial public offering (IPO). The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, with additional details to be disclosed in a Form 6-K filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Bending Spoons is an Italian tech company whose core business focuses on acquiring digital products and optimizing their operations, with brands including Evernote, WeTransfer, and Vimeo under its portfolio. According to market data from BIT (bit.com), Bending Spoons’ shares surged more than 25% in pre-market trading.

Netflix (NFLX) plans to cut about 6% of its global workforce, eliminating roughly 1,000 positions worldwide.

Bank of New York Mellon (BNY) and Citadel Securities have completed a tri-party repo transaction using tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds. Citadel Securities purchased a 2-year U.S. Treasury bond via BNY on Tradeweb; the bank recorded the tokenized version of the bond on its private digital ledger and settled the trade in minutes, rather than the traditional T+1 settlement cycle. Citadel then used the tokenized Treasury bond as collateral in an overnight tri-party repo to secure cash from BNY. BNY said this marks the first time tokenized assets have been used on a major tri-party repo platform. Carolyn Weinberg, BNY’s head of bank innovation and market transformation, noted that using tokenized representations of U.S. Treasuries for both settlement and financing will help build a more connected, efficient, and 24/7 operational financial system. The bank also plans to add digital cash and tokenized deposit capabilities for institutional settlement and financing, and aims to extend its related settlement platform’s operating hours to cover European and Asian trading sessions next year.
