FundaAI releases a memory market analysis, explicitly refuting TrendForce’s view that recent average memory price growth has flattened and the market will face oversupply in the future. As LTA share grows, overall average price growth naturally slows, but memory manufacturers are protected by advance payments and breach penalty clauses, leading to enhanced revenue stability. FundaAI interprets the current slowdown in average price growth as a healthy development for the memory market, not a precursor to oversupply between 2027 and 2028. It forecasts that, supported by a further rise in LTA share and a continued shift in product mix toward data centers, memory prices will remain at high levels through 2027 rather than collapsing after peaking.

South Korea’s Supreme Court has ruled that Samsung Securities must pay 1.86 billion won to the National Pension Service (NPS) to compensate for losses stemming from a 2018 dividend payout error. In April 2018, the firm mistakenly issued 1,000 shares of stock instead of a 1,000 won cash dividend to each employee; subsequent selling by staff pushed the stock price down by as much as 11.7% during the trading day. The NPS had sought 29.9 billion won in compensation, but a lower court ordered Samsung Securities to pay 1.86 billion won. The Supreme Court upheld that ruling on Wednesday.
