Robinhood Chain DEX trading volume has plummeted by 72% from its peak, but its transaction count, total value locked (TVL), and stablecoin supply have all hit all-time highs.

After Robinhood Chain launched, its decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume plummeted from a peak of roughly $878 million on July 11 to $241 million on August 1, marking a 72.5% drop. However, other core on-chain metrics rose across the board during this period: daily transaction count hit an all-time high of 13.3 million on August 5; total value locked (TVL) reached a record $433 million on August 6, while stablecoin supply also peaked at $597 million. The trading volume decline is not a market-wide trend: over the same period, total global DEX trading volume rose from $5.27 billion to $7.33 billion, while Robinhood Chain’s share of global DEX volume shrank from a peak of 16.65% to 4.32%. This points to a sharp contraction in average transaction value: DEX volume per transaction plummeted 74% from $105.56 on July 13 to $27.82 on August 4, before rebounding slightly to $39.07.

Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) came in at $0.06, far exceeding the $0.01 expectation; Non-GAAP net profit reached $5.5 million, also well above the $1.7 million forecast. The company issued a conservative Q3 guidance: Revenue is projected between $255 million and $290 million, with a midpoint of ~$272.5 million, slightly below the market expectation of ~$278 million. Adjusted EPS guidance ranges from $0.11 to $0.26, significantly lower than the $0.28 consensus; Non-GAAP net profit guidance is $10.1 million to $24 million, below the $25.2 million forecast; Non-GAAP gross margin is expected to be 29% to 30.5%. AAOI emphasized that market demand remains extremely strong, and will continue to outpace the company’s production capacity through mid-2027, with capacity supply-demand imbalance being the core constraint.
