Codex stores full chat records locally and maintains an index for fast access, but the bug stems from this index: it got stuck at an early position, making subsequent records exist unaccessible to Codex. Similar "false amnesia" issues were later reported on Windows Desktop, Remote SSH and other environments: underlying records remained intact, but the interface froze at an old position, with no active error alerts or automatic repairs.
