2026.07.18 16:21:28

Solana Mobile has announced the launch of the Seeker Summer Round 1 SKR token claim campaign. Eligible participants can now view and claim their allocated SKR via the Seed Vault Wallet. This round’s SKR allocations are split into three tiers based on participation level: Level 3 users receive 3,000 SKR, Level 2 users get 2,000 SKR, and Level 1 users are allocated 1,000 SKR. Some highly active Level 3 participants will also receive additional bonus allocations. To claim SKR, users can follow these steps: Open their Seeker device, navigate to the Seed Vault Wallet, click on the Activity Tracking page, select “Check Available Allocations” and complete the claim process. The official claim window will remain open for 30 days. After claiming, users can stake their SKR to earn rewards—either by staking directly to Guardians within the Seed Vault Wallet, or via the SKR Staking web portal.

After Sora was shut down, its former project lead teamed up with the founder of DreamWorks to launch a new venture focused on AI video.

Beating AI News reports, citing The Information and sources familiar with the matter, that DreamWorks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg is launching an AI video company with former OpenAI Sora lead Bill Peebles and ex-Dropbox CFO Sujay Jaswa. The startup will train its own video models to target filmmakers directly, and is currently in talks with investors including a16z for funding. The company’s name and funding size have not been disclosed. Peebles served as Sora’s core technical lead and is one of the authors of the Diffusion Transformer (DiT) paper. He left OpenAI shortly after the company shut down Sora’s consumer app and API this year, publicly stating at the time that exploratory research of this type needs space to operate outside a company’s core product roadmap. Katzenberg has already made an AI video bet this year: in May, his firm WndrCo participated in a $59 million funding round for real-time AI video startup Reactor. This time, he is going beyond investor status to co-found a company with the former Sora lead to build its own models. This marks Katzenberg’s most ambitious video venture since Quibi. The short-form video platform raised $1.75 billion but folded shortly after launching in 2020. Six years later, he is returning to the video space, though this time shifting from a short-form platform to developing AI models for filmmakers.

Solana Mainnet Beta Transaction V1 Activation Delayed to Epoch 1035

Solana core development team Anza announced on X that Mainnet Beta Transaction V1 will activate starting at Epoch 1035, with an estimated time of approximately 1:20 UTC on September 15. The ecosystem team noted that additional time is required to test and integrate V1 support; V1 is now live on the devnet for integration testing. Compute budget in V1 is set via new transaction configurations. While compute budget instructions remain functional in both legacy and V0 transactions, they will not take effect in V1. Application developers, even those not planning to submit V1 transactions, must verify the impact of these changes on their applications.

Robinhood Chain has temporarily suspended operations, with the market awaiting Arc’s launch to drive the next leg of the rally; a co-founder of Circle may support on-chain speculative trading.

Since the start of this week, the on-chain rally driven by the Robinhood chain has temporarily cooled off, with major cryptocurrencies seeing broad pullbacks. As a result, the market is pinning hopes for the next rally on Arc Chain, set to launch on September 16. Arc is an open blockchain network developed by stablecoin issuer Circle, primarily targeted at institutional users. There is significant divergence in the market over whether Arc will strongly support crypto-native meme coin culture. However, multiple crypto-native platforms have already announced they will support Arc Chain immediately upon launch, including NFT marketplace OpenSea and meme coin platform FOMO. In response to FOMO’s launch announcement, Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire also gave an immediate positive response, which is seen as a potential sign of support for the crypto-native community. Whether Arc can successfully carry on the on-chain rally after its launch remains to be verified by the market.
