Cathie Wood: AI has attracted massive investment interest, but cannot replace Bitcoin’s wealth-preservation attributes.

TSMC’s latest monthly data shows its August revenue surged sharply year-on-year, further highlighting the sustained strong boost from global AI chip demand for the leading wafer foundry. From January to August 2026, TSMC’s consolidated revenue reached approximately NT$3.38687 trillion, up 39.3% from around NT$2.432 trillion in the same period of 2025. In absolute terms, its first eight months’ revenue increased by more than NT$950 billion year-on-year, a substantial scale.

According to Arkham’s monitoring, a Bitcoin (BTC) whale withdrew approximately $461.5 million worth of BTC from Coinbase two years ago and has not fully exited its position since. The whale’s holdings once posted an unrealized profit of around $315 million at BTC’s peak, while at this year’s July low, the position swung to an unrealized loss of roughly $100 million. Since August, the address has transferred about $82 million worth of BTC to Kraken, and currently holds roughly $418 million worth of BTC, with a current unrealized profit of approximately $40 million.

According to data from Alicharts, Bitcoin whale holdings have remained nearly unchanged over the past week, standing at around 5.23 million BTC. This aligns with Bitcoin’s sideways trading at high price levels. Alicharts notes that this indicates large investors are adopting a wait-and-see approach, waiting to take further action following the upcoming CPI report and FOMC meeting.

On-chain analyst Ai Yi (@ai_9684xtpa) monitored that the new address 0x4C2…C568a has accumulated 2,100 ETH today, valued at $5.18 million. The address withdrew the ETH from OKX four hours ago at an average price of $2,469, and this is currently the only position held by the address.
