Tesla China today announced the in-vehicle software update of version 2026.14.13, covering Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X. The update has been rolled out in batches since July 31, 2026, with a key upgrade being the "Doubao Large Model"—an intelligent voice assistant that can provide real-time information and hold smooth natural conversations. It supports multiple high-quality voice tones, paired with personalized roles including "Omniscient", "Music Lover", and "Storyteller". Access to this feature requires a subscription to Tesla’s Premium In-Vehicle Entertainment Service.

The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady at 3.5%-3.75% at its July meeting, triggering the rapid unwinding of large hedge positions markets had built around expectations of a rate hike. Data shows open interest in August federal funds futures once hit a historic milestone, breaking 1 million contracts for the first time ever, involving a notional principal of roughly $5 trillion. Following the announcement of the resolution, CME data revealed open interest in the contract dropped by around 140,000 contracts. Canadian hardware wallet manufacturer Coinkite has issued a security warning, advising users who generated mnemonics using Coldcard Mk3 with firmware versions 4.0.1 to 5.0.3 to migrate their assets as soon as possible. The company stated that initial analysis shows wallets using BIP-39 passphrases carry lower risk, while Mk4, Q, and Mk5 devices are unaffected. The investigation is still ongoing. Meanwhile, security researchers are probing an unusual transfer involving 594.48 BTC (approximately $38.3 million). AnchorWatch CEO Rob Hamilton noted that the attacker transferred 1,324 UTXOs across 500 transactions over 3 blocks, speculating the issue may stem from insufficient random number entropy during wallet generation. Wizardsardine CEO Kevin Loaec argued the vulnerability could be related to low-entropy random number generators in a software library, secure chip, specific device batch, or firmware version, with attackers potentially using AI-generated scripts to brute-force affected wallets. No conclusive evidence has yet confirmed a direct link between this fund transfer and the Coldcard Mk3 vulnerability.

Per Bitget market data, the Hang Seng Tech Index gained over 1% intraday, after earlier sliding 0.7%; the Hang Seng Index was poised to turn positive intraday, having fallen 1% earlier. Zhipu (02513.HK) surged more than 22%, MiniMax (00100.HK) jumped nearly 13%, and Alibaba (09988.HK) climbed over 5%.
