「White-Haired Stock God」: Key Gas for Chip Manufacturing, Tungsten Hexafluoride, Faces Supply Shortage, South Korean Foosung Corporation Poised to Benefit

2026.06.13 18:29:53

June 13 – Self-proclaimed "White-Haired Stock God" Serenity stated on social media that South Korean semiconductor materials firm Foosung, with an approximate market cap of $13.44 billion, may enter a key revaluation window. The trigger for this view is disruptions to Japan’s tungsten hexafluoride (WF₆) supply chain—a critical precursor used in semiconductor etching and deposition, essential for global wafer manufacturing. Serenity noted that continued tightening of WF₆ supply could directly impact around 25% of the world’s key production capacity, hitting major wafer fabs including SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and TSMC. He compared this potential crunch to a "Hormuz-like supply bottleneck," referencing the strategic chokepoint that controls a large share of global energy trade. Current data puts Foosung’s global WF₆ supply share at roughly 10%, but its strategic significance could rise sharply amid supply contraction or restructuring. Serenity clarified his viewpoint is purely market observation and hypothesis analysis, and he holds no related positions. Separately, core South Korean suppliers SK Specialty and Foosung have formally notified chip giants Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix of plans to significantly raise tungsten hexafluoride prices by 70% to 90% by 2026.

Uniswap Labs launches "StablePair Hook" designed specifically for stablecoin trading pairs.

Uniswap Labs has launched the "StablePair Hook", a new Uniswap v4 hook built exclusively for stablecoin trading pairs including USDC/USDT and USDC/USDG. The StablePair Hook uses dynamic fees instead of fixed fees, with fees adjusting based on the degree of deviation between the liquidity pool’s price and its reference price. When the price is near the reference level, the mechanism adjusts per-trade fees to maintain a fixed spread between bid and ask prices. Uniswap Labs notes that if the price moves outside this range, trades that push prices further away from the range will incur no fees, as these trades already provide a favorable price for the liquidity pool. Trades that pull prices back toward the reference price operate via a Dutch auction: fees start at a high level and decrease with each subsequent block until a trader accepts the terms, enabling liquidity providers (LPs) to capture more gains from price pullbacks. The first StablePair Hook pools will launch on Ethereum, supporting the USDC/USDG and USDC/USDT pairs. Uniswap Labs also reported that stablecoin-to-stablecoin swap volume on the Uniswap platform reached $43.4 billion in the second quarter, exceeding the combined total of the second and third-ranked on-chain trading platforms.

Cardano developers unveil ODATANO, targeting SAP—the world’s largest enterprise software ecosystem.

The Cardano Developer Portal has published an interview with Maximilian, founder of ODATANO. ODATANO is a Cardano integration tool for SAP enterprise environments, which encapsulates the Cardano blockchain into a standard OData V4 API, allowing enterprise developers familiar with the SAP development ecosystem to integrate with Cardano without deep expertise in underlying blockchain technologies. Maximilian stated that traditional SAP developers aiming to connect business processes to Cardano usually need to master technologies including the UTxO model, transaction construction, CBOR serialization, fee calculation, collateral, and key management. ODATANO encapsulates these complex blockchain operations in a service layer, enabling Cardano to connect to SAP applications as a standard OData service. Currently, ODATANO offers 31 entities and functions such as data reading, transaction construction, and signing, supporting queries of blocks, addresses, UTxOs, assets, and protocol parameters, as well as transaction construction, signing, and submission. The project can run as an SAP CAP plugin or be deployed independently. Maximilian also introduced reference applications built on ODATANO, including TRACE, QUANTIX, FINCA, and x402. Among them, QUANTIX is an oracle-based B2B raw material procurement and settlement application that won the 2026 Charli3 Oracle Hackathon. According to the Cardano Developer Portal, ODATANO received funding through Cardano Catalyst Fund 14. The project is currently developed solely by Maximilian, with 1,285 automated tests completed and a code statement coverage rate of 99%.

Data: The concentration of top assets in the cryptocurrency market has rebounded to 2021 levels, with Bitcoin’s dominance reaching 66.6%.

CryptoRank reported that in 2026, the market capitalization concentration of the top 100 crypto assets (excluding stablecoins) has rebounded to the level seen in 2021. Among them, the "crypto version of the Magnificent 7" collectively accounts for 92.1% of the total market cap of these top 100 assets, with BTC alone taking up 66.6%—a significant increase compared to five years ago. This means the current crypto market growth is increasingly reliant on a small number of leading assets, while the broader altcoin market has seen a notable decline in its share of funding.

OpenCover is expanding to Solana, with its initial coverage including four major protocols such as Kamino and Raydium.

On-chain risk coverage platform OpenCover has announced it is expanding its institutional-grade risk protection to the Solana network. Eligible positions can now access coverage, with the initial rollout covering Kamino, Raydium, Orca, and Jupiter. Specific coverage scope, limits, and terms vary by protocol and position. OpenCover primarily provides on-chain risk protection for DeFi users, connecting them to underwriters including Nexus Mutual. Following this expansion, Solana ecosystem users can now purchase coverage for risks such as smart contract vulnerabilities, oracle failures or manipulation, liquidation failures, and governance attacks. According to a prior announcement from Nexus Mutual, it has now launched four coverage products on Solana for Kamino, Raydium, Orca, and Jupiter, covering nearly 90% of the Solana lending market’s total funds. Of these, Kamino and Jupiter hold over $1 billion and $925 million in lending deposits respectively. OpenCover noted that this launch marks the start of its further expansion of risk transfer infrastructure on Solana, and it will subsequently partner with protocols, asset management firms, and liquidity providers to expand the range of positions eligible for coverage.
