Alleged a16z-affiliated entities purchased HYPE spot via 12 addresses using TWAP, spending over $24 million in two days.

According to monitoring by TradingBeats (formerly Hyperinsight), a cluster of execution addresses linked to a16z has launched a new round of buying activity. Twelve addresses simultaneously initiated TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) orders earlier today, with a planned total purchase of 148,700 HYPE tokens, valued at approximately $12.15 million at the $81.7 per token price; at least $8.49 million of this round’s purchase has been confirmed executed. This round’s capital is seamlessly connected to the previous operation. Earlier, the same 12 execution addresses had invested a total of ~$11.968 million via TWAP to buy 148,100 HYPE. After the purchase was completed, these HYPE tokens were withdrawn to HyperEVM, then transferred one by one to 12 new addresses. All 12 transfer paths were identical: each first transferred 1 HYPE as a test, then the remaining amount. At 10:21 today, these 12 new addresses almost simultaneously deposited the 148,100 HYPE received in the prior round back to HyperCore, with the entire process taking only 12 seconds. Meanwhile, the original 12 execution addresses responsible for the previous purchase received a total of ~$11.998 million in USDC, and immediately launched the new ~$12.15 million HYPE TWAP orders. Partial tracking of prior activity shows the asset flow: ~724,900 HYPE were eventually aggregated into Hyperliquid Staking accounts and remain staked; between August 21 and 24, another ~172,000 HYPE were transferred via intermediaries to Wintermute’s Hot Wallet; around 1,060 HYPE were sent to Coinbase and other addresses. Global central bank officials converge in Jackson Hole, with inflation and high interest rates set to be core topics.

This week, global central bank officials will convene in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA, to focus on re-examining global inflation and the prospect of further rises in borrowing costs amid new inflation threats. Spyros, an economist at Frankfurt-based Thin Ice Macro, stated: "Global central banks are likely to adopt a cautious stance, viewing inflation as their most undesirable risk. You never know when the next supply shock will strike suddenly." Subadra Rajappa, Head of US Research at Société Générale, noted that countries differ in the urgency they attach to inflation, partly due to varying exposure to energy cost volatility, which in turn depends on their import volumes. She pointed out that Europe and Japan are "more sensitive to developments in the Middle East and oil prices." Jari Stehn, Chief European Economist at Goldman Sachs, said: "We estimate that policy rates in the US and UK remain restrictive." "Different starting positions mean countries face varying pressures in responding to energy shocks, giving the Federal Reserve and Bank of England more time to monitor how this shock evolves." Patrick Harker, former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, remarked: "The Iran situation has changed how people discuss issues and make policy choices, and there currently appears to be no sign of an end." "This makes this year's Jackson Hole symposium completely different, as we are now in a typical supply shock environment, or more precisely, multiple supply shocks hitting the global economy simultaneously." Bernstein: Bitcoin could surge to $150,000 by mid-2027, hitting a peak of roughly $300,000 in 2029

Bernstein forecasts that as "currency devaluation trades" gain traction, Bitcoin will hit a record high of around $150,000 by mid-2027, and could reach a peak of roughly $300,000 in this cycle by 2029. The firm also retained an "outperform" rating on Strategy (MSTR), but lowered its target price for the stock from $450 to $350, primarily citing its updated outlook on the Bitcoin market cycle and the equity dilution impact from Strategy’s accelerated stock issuance.

MiniMax’s half-year revenue has already surpassed its full-year revenue of last year, with enterprise and developer model usage contributing 60% of the total.

Beating AI News Insight: MiniMax’s H1 revenue hits $117 million, up 283.1% year-over-year, surpassing its full-year 2023 revenue in just six months. The fastest-growing segment is enterprise and developer API calls for MiniMax models: revenue here surged from $9.2 million to $73.93 million, up 703.1% YoY, accounting for 63.4% of total revenue. Growth was driven by more paying users and enterprise clients, higher API call volumes, and the popularity of token packages. Revenue from AI products like Hailuo AI doubled to $42.64 million, though its share of total revenue dropped to 36.6%. Overseas remains MiniMax’s core market, with revenue outside mainland China making up 60.8% of total. Profitability improved: gross margin rose from 12.1% to 17.9%, while sales and marketing expenses fell 17.9%. However, R&D remains cash-intensive: H1 R&D spending hit $297 million, roughly 2.5 times the period’s revenue. Reported net loss narrowed 11% YoY to $358 million, but this was largely due to a sharp reduction in fair value losses on financial liabilities post-listing. Excluding these items, adjusted net loss widened 111.2% YoY to $293 million.
